The foreign prince smiled at Marian, finding her flirtations endearing. “I am…still learning your language and courtship traditions,” Vasiliy explained, struggling with his English at first. “I do believe we have not yet introduced ourselves though,” he pointed out, bowing to her. “I am Vasiliy, of Novgorod. May I have the honor of knowing your name?” he inquired not including his title as he did not know how relevant it was to the woman.Â
It wasn’t often Marian was so bold with words, but today happened to be an exception. A nod, a gentle smile came from the lady. The woman curtsied slightly, her gaze lifting to meet his. “I’m Marian, of Knighton.” She also didn’t include her title, but it wasn’t one that she enjoyed throwing out everywhere either. “It’s wonderful to meet you Vasiliy.” The woman tried not to speak with more complicated words, she didn’t want to make it too difficult for the man to understand her.
