As James’ lips clumsily pressed against his own, Sirius couldn’t help but be amused by his friend’s awkwardness. Gently pulling away, Sirius placed a hand on James’ cheek.
"I know I’m not exactly the one you wanna kiss, but just try and relax a bit okay?”
Leaning in again Sirius placed one hand on James’ leg and slowly slid their lips together, giving James plenty of time to get use to this. This time wasn’t nearly as awkward,at least in how it was initiated, and Sirius was honestly far too pleased with himself over the situation.
”…well, you’re not the worst option,”
he told him before they were kissing again, his words trailing off. Truthfully, he wouldn’t want to do this with anyone else, though he wouldn’t tell Sirius that. If he was going to have his first kiss, it might as well be with someone he trusted more anyone and cared about the most. And it wasn’t like Sirius was bad looking.
This kiss was definitely better, James decided as one of his hands came to rest on the back of the other boy’s neck. He kissed back, trying to follow his friend’s lead and mirror what he was doing, though he had the feeling he was still quite bad at it.
"No? Well I'll take that as a compliment."
Sirius let out a quiet encouraging sound, gently pulling James in a little closer, he let his hand slide further up James' leg. It was odd, kissing his best friend. Not in a bad way, just strange. Sirius had thought that James was attractive for a while now, and wasn't ashamed to admit it, but even before that James had been his best friend so it still was a little odd.
