"Liz!" Feni ran through her garden, careful as to not step on anything, before stopping my hemlock. "Hemlock! Have you seen Liz around?! I learned about a rare pinata and I really, REALLY wanna find it!" He was holding the picture of the kitkatsune, a giddy look on his face. (@ofpaperandmagic
Growling she rolls over to face him, annoyed that her nap was interrupted. “Oh it’s you fire boy. Why did you think it’d be a good idea to wake me.”
She glares at him and snatches the paper from him. She snorts and raises an eyebrow at him, “a kitkatsune? Really. Good luck with that, those things are picky as hell. Suits you though. Have fun getting your face torn off.” She rolls back over to continue her nap
“Liz is over cleaning out the mallowolf den. Just give it a tap.” She waves her hand dismissively. “Oh and she gets hurt on this stuipd hunt of yours you will regret it…” she gives him an icy glare over her shoulder.

Feni looked up at the sky as it darkened, a small fire forming in his hands as he looked at all of the nocturnal piñata, then turned to Liz, nodding in agreement. He watched her with intent, the were side showing itself now as she took the hunting stance, realizing that was actually her normal tail. Once she’d grabbed the pinarctic pretztail, Feni stood to begin stroking it, comfort it while he was offered the scissors. “It’s ok, little one, we just need a bit of your fur, that’s it.” He took the sharp metal, and with a quick snip, Nil had the fur he supposedly needed.
As soon as Feni was done Liz gently placed the piñata on the ground, “ther you go little guy, perfectly fine.” The pretztail scampered away into the snow with a small yelp. Liz then moved away to call Langston to purchase the trap and ask why he was snubbing Feni. She began setting up the trap while Nil did their thing.
Nil had taken the fur with a flourish and craned it into a potion bottle they took out of their pocket. They pulled a few more ingredients out to put in while muttering under their breath. Finishing with the ingredients they put a stopper in it and began violently shaking it. Once they stopped they brought the bottle close to their mask to inspect their work, it glowed a soft blue and had a faint glitter. “Feni look at this!” They exclaimed as they swiftly uncorked the bottle and chucked the contents in his face.
Feni was humming happily to himself at the fact he was going to have another pretztail friend. He watched the pinarctic fox scamper off, looking over the other piñata with a wide grin, though gazed at Nil while they mixed the potion, eyeing it. He wondered if this was just a ploy to mess with him, or if this would actually help. The answer was shown sooner then Feni would have liked, as they threw the contents at him, Feni became whisps of flame, now standing a few steps away from the spot he’d been standing. “There was no reason for us coming here, was there, Nil?”
“You catch on quick!” Nil flipped the empty bottle between their hands with a ‘smile’, “Their was reason but none truly beneficial to you other than your new fox friend.” They gesture to where Liz was waiting beside the now sprung trap. “The actual tracking spells for what you want would take a bit longer than a day. But this is an actual tracking potion, just for if you ever felt like visiting a warren of pretztails.” They pulled out an identical bottle to the one they attempted to throw at Feni and held it out, “enjoy! I always make extra, oh and don’t drink it it supposed to be used like eye drops. And impressive show of magic I must say.”
“You guys talking about magic?” By then Liz has returned only hearing the mention of Feni’s trick.
“I do try and stay well informed, yes. As for the potion, i’m good as the little guys aren’t hard to find for me.“ He was not too happy about the plague doctor’s actions, nor that this was going to be a wasted trip, but the fact he had a new fox friend did help. He walked over to Liz and the box, looking inside at the pinarctic pretztail with glee. “I think I’ll name you Snowy, welcome to your new home.“ He turned to face the other two at the mention of magic, rubbing the back of his neck at the complement. “Thanks, and yeah, we are, Liz, i used a bit to dodge Nil throwing a potion at me.”
Liz presses the button on the crate to send it to the post office once Feni was finished looking. At the mention of the potion she glares at Nil and shakes her head with a sigh. Of course they’d do something like that, they’ll talk about it later. Nil ignored the glare and made the potion vanish with a slight of hand and a shrug.
Looking back at Feni Liz perks her masks ears up, “you know I don’t think I ever saw your magic license. You did get one right? It’s been a while since you’ve been here.”
Feni smiled as magic whisked the new addition to his garden away, turning to face Liz with a rather confused look. "A magic... License?" He started walking back towards where they came, waiting for the two to follow. "I've never heard of such a thing... We need one of those?"
