Sofia couldn’t help the small grin which tugged her lips. She had moved to Arles five years ago and there weren’t many friends outside her own siblings she could call for something as trivial as coffee. “ Perfect, then ” she swung her purse over her shoulder, but not before checking if all of the contents were safely tucked in, nobody had time for another round of picking up contents off of the sidewalk. One perfect eyebrow raised as she glanced at the brunette with amusement behind her green hues, “ that could not be truer, here I am, OWING you and I cannot, for the life of me, tell you how much that bothers me. ” Sofia fake shuddered and chuckled, nodding her head along as they walked side by side towards their final destination. “ I learned from the first day of university on, that I am a CAFFEINE kind of girl but every once in a while when I have the chance to spice it up, I do love my caramel, but nothing like pumpkin spice latte season. Hazelnut is a great choice, too, they have a mocha with cinnamon-y hints that’s chef’s kiss, ” the blonde winked. “ I’m Sofia Holmes, by the way, I’m sorry for back there, I swear it’s the fourth time this week someone has tried to knock my Macbook off my hands. ”
Sofia Holmes, Aurora makes a mental note to try and get to know this one maybe even a little more. She sounds like the perfect person to strike up a friendship with. Aurora finds it hard to do that though because it is either all in or nothing. the moment someone gets close to her and finds out she isn’t so stable and perfect is the moment that most people go away because she stops returning texts or calls. ❝Aurora Lincoln.❞ It’s a household name, Mayor’s freaking kid and she hates every minute of that judgment that she thinks people give at that one. ❝Pumpkin spice or Apple cider?❞ Apple cider was the grown-up version of apple juice. Crazy to think about how she is an adult, hard to believe just two years ago she was a child. Sofia didn’t need to apologize and thus, Aurora ignores the apology and sticks with an easier conversation like talking drinks. Would it be rude to ask the other’s age? YES. She wants to do that though.
