Proof that aside from their armor and malicious ambitions, the Garleans are no different than the rest of us pervs.
Sapho Rasasiri and J’tomo Tia are getting hitched!!!
We would like a pretty decent turn out, and want as many friends to attend as possible! If you play ffxiv and want to be a part of this important life event, take this small survey to help us schedule it!
Also, if you don’t own the game, but still want to come, I’m like 90% sure you can still come while using a free trial!
This return trip was fraught with sorrows, though we have stood strong. Another Scion lost. Another terror unleashed upon Eorzea to threaten us all.
You said you knew not when the time would come for a ceremony, just as I knew the day I made those Flawless Bands for us. Much time has passed, and still more.
I thought it a bit silly, we had little time to tarry in Mor Dhona but you insisted-- to go there to our place up on the terrace where we loved to watch the others come and go. I should’ve known then that you were up to something but aye, even I couldn’t foresee what you aimed to accomplish.
So stunned into silence was I that we were interrupted, the others hardly the wiser as to what had occurred-- the answer would have to wait.
Upon the Enterprise erm-- Excelsior I mean-- I pondered and weighed what it all meant. Part of me has long wondered what point there is in such statements of commitment when our lives may well be cut short at any turn. And that was when I realized-- I needs must be certain in my proclamation.
It seemed fitting on the last leg of our journey, that I stand there beneath the Carline Canopy and give you my affirmation.
Aye, I would be yours. Until the sundering of the world, or the darkening of another era, and after it still.
Sapho has missed this man with his whole heart for far too long, and others still whom can never return to him-- as Thancred has.
Some situations must needs the delicate and refined touch of a Scholar-- or two.
Were it that I could have welcomed Ser Aymeric to my home land with less trepidation and more joy. Well, there was some joy-- I always feel such warmth at his awe-stricken expression. He finds the Black Shroud beautiful, and that will always move me.
...We had no idea what we stood to loss. Again, that shadow loomed over us to take what was dear.
To think I’d be running all over the Shroud with J’tomo once more, you in tow, only to turn the corner and face the horror of horrors and our greatest enemy that still stood, save for the Ascians themselves.
Too many suns ago did we come here for the first time. I remember the first time we gazed upon the sunrise and sunset at the new hideaway. We hid amidst shadows for far too long, and now we can wear this uniform with pride once more.
Our journey has been long, Sapho, and I am full glad that we have been able to walk it, side by side, though fate has want to pull us in constant opposites. Despite your walk in the darkness and shadows, I know the light is full within you. I know now not to fear such a shade, and now, I can embrace is as fully as I do embrace you.
That is why, my beloved, I do wish to present this question to you, though I know not of when such ceremonies can take place. I have not the proper trinkets, though I do hope it shant change your answer.
Sapho Rasasiri, the moon to my sun, my Keeper.
Will you marry me?
I may lead, but without you behind me, I am but a diversion. Only together can we destroy the forces raised against us.
Ser Aymeric’s first foray into the Churning Mists.
The battles will always come, more and more. Blood will be shed in a never ending cycle, though we cry for peace. I readied myself to face what Estinien had become, my heart still heavy with loss. Were it not for the purity of Master Alphinaud’s love for the man I too, may have given him up for lost.
As J’tomo and I and our fellow Scions pushed forward, I found that I could not bear to admonish the young scholar. I would have done the same, driven by such conviction-- but such love. Would it be that Estinien knew from wherever he was so far away that he had so much of it.
Let us just this once, save someone. Let it go as planned this once, I prayed-- as though you were listening. Though your smile was gone with you into the Lifestream, I knew somewhere in my heart of hearts that you could hear me.
I knew you would be with me.
Finally, Ser Aymeric de Borel would see the breathtaking territories outside the walls of his high and lofty city. That it might have come sooner, and with more time for leisure. We stood for Hraesvelgr’s gauntlet of trials at Ratatoskr’s ancient lair.
There are times when I think Aymeric too naive, but his beacon of hope may yet serve to warm us all through the winter of Nidhogg’s malcontent.
And stood we did, newly elevated Azure Dragoon and party against the onslaught of maddened Holy King. In the incomprehensible Azys Lla, we did make our final stand, side by side with Estinien Wyrmblood, only for him to be once again lost to the dreadwyrm’s machinations.
It was a bittersweet victory, ere we saw dawn upon Ishgardian soil once more. I joined Master Alphinaud in his determination to save him, while I felt J’tomo steel himself as much as Ser Aymeric. They would do what must be done in order to carry out their duty.
Thordan was no more, and we had our vengeance for Haurchefant, but there was no time to rest upon our victory snatched from the jaws of defeat.
Long has this journey been, but with you all at my side, I know I can endure it, however long it shall take.
Though since the events that transpired at the Vault he’d been rather dour in countenance, Sapho could be seen whooping and cheering upon his most recent return to Foundation. It was, it seemed-- the presence of one strange vagabond in an eyepatch now having re-joined their party. A best friend lost, now regained.
