Could it be that she had really brought a natural smile to his face and he did not mind it? It was so unusual for him, but since it was just the two of them he stopped trying to hide it. It felt comfortable to smile, he had to admit and maybe she had a point. However, it was much too easy for him to frown and by now it had become a habit that he couldn’t shake. If the corners of his lips ever did move upwards it was because he purposefully smirked and faked smiles to show amusement at the various incidents that ocurred throughout the school. A pause for effect before he responded, his brows raised some. “Maybe… but you made me!” He looked at her, maybe even stared a little too long and then chuckled. It was almost a crime, but he didn’t tell her that. For some reason if he could help it he didn’t want to say or do anything that could take that sunny smile off her face. It suited her and he liked it. His lips soften and he nods. When she responds to him, as if surprised by his answer, it is hard for him not to pull another wide smile though he doesn’t. Was she that enthusiastic about it? “Of course.” Even if they were different, with different friend groups, that did not stop him. Besides, he tried to know as many of the students as he could, so that it was easier to arrange parties, fakes and what else. This was not to say that starting a friendship with Elaine had anothing to do with that. He had meant what he said to her about spending more time together. She was an interesting girl, one who clearly knew how to bring a genuine smile onto his face and that was something he couldn’t ignore. – With mention of classes, Roy had to think hard before remembering his timetable that he never looked at more than absolutely necessary. “Err,” he laughed a little at himself while trying to remember. “I think it’s math. Yours?”
a tiny fit of giggles tumbles out, arms tightening around the textbooks against her chest. then teeth fall against her bottom lip as her body rocks forward slightly on the balls of her feet. ❝ maybe i could make ye smile more ? ❞ it doesn’t register in her mind the way that question sounds. sometimes it physically pains her to see others frowning, and it’s become slightly more upsetting with roy lately. she doesn’t even know him that well, either, but it affects her more than some others. ❝ been told i’m good at it. ❞ and her cheeks stretch just a little further to accommodate a larger smile, another soft, carefree giggle. she takes a moment to shrug after the statement then pauses to think about her schedule. a brief frown as she realizes he’s not in her next class, but she catches herself and the corners of her mouth turn up again. ❝ literature, but it’s two doors down from maths, right ? ❞
