Observing the sun rise from afar, seeing in it’s eternal glory, Klaus rested his hands against his side a smile fixed on his lips before he begun, “Nobody is going to help you, Niklaus. After all, you are the bastard son. Alone - Absolute - Abomination.” he turned to the side, seeing the other standing there helpless, Klaus smirked as his electric blue hues glimmered, Niklaus yelled, however no sound came forth. Powerless to do anything, but only listen to his counterpart. Klaus had gained control for the time being. Hearing a noise behind him, Klaus glanced half-heartedly towards the source, “Reveal yourself.” he ordered.
To Elijah, his younger brothers’ behavior was always brought into question. Not only did Niklaus have one of the most temperamental personalities he had ever encountered, next to their fathers’, but his narcissistic paranoia was one for the history books. Despite their quarrels and temporary feelings of animosity for one another, Elijah was always brought back to reality. Always and Forever. It was what they had sworn to each other, along with their sister, which reminded him of the loyalty that bound them together.
As of late, the elder brother had noticed a difference in Klaus. A darker one. There was something that had not felt right yet he wasn’t sure how to address it or know what it even was. Elijah figured it would be best to simply observe his sibling and make an assessment that way.
At a distance, the Original had followed his brother and made sure to keep himself hidden. He silently watched, arching a brow of confusion at the scene. Elijah made the decision to approach nearer, taking the risk of exposing his presence. Not long after, that familiar tone of irritation had addressed him. He revealed his existence as he stepped out from the shadows, hands buried in the pockets of his suit pants.
“It is only I, Niklaus.” Elijah stated in his unruffled tone. “Opted for a solitary stroll today?”

SOME SIBLINGS WERE HARDER THAN THE OTHERS. henrik had adored them all yes but still he ached. it was not the same and it would never be. but he hoped he could change things for the better. dressed in a suit himself, henrik’s eyes glistened with a small sense of delight. ❝my apologies. i was simply admiring the suit you’re wearing.❞it isn’t a lie and the little flutter the human heart in his body did wasn’t revealing a lie but mere a sense of nervousness. after all, this time was different. ❝i’ll take a chat with elijah mikaelson if you’re free.❞
There was something about this man…Did he know him from somewhere? Perhaps encountered him at a time that Elijah had no recollection of? It was a familiar unfamiliarity that the Original wasn’t very keen on, but he decided to go along with it for now. A gentle chuckle escaped him at the mention of his suit, yet that quickly dispersed the moment his name was mentioned. Elijah mildly pursed his lips before taking hold of his glass again, then brought it up for another sip. “You have my attention. It is very clear that you know me, and yet I do not know you. What is it that I can do for you, Mr---?”
As if the right on cue, she could feel the tension in the atmosphere, smiling to herself once the presence of a certain Original was made known. Elijah. Always the composed one, and that was a trait she knew well, she radiated the same elegant pose. She was a proper lady to the public eye, once the glass of Bourbon was placed in front of her, she finally looked over to see him fully. Mischief, that has yet to come. “Elijah Mikaelson.” she raised her glass “It has been while, I do enjoy a new scenery.” she replied, she couldn’t lay all her cards on the table, she came here for one reason only.
The elegance she upheld to the public was deceptive to some, but not to Elijah. It might have been quite a while since he had interacted with the blonde beauty, but he was no fool. Scarlett was a woman that had the tangible potential to cause hindrance, of that he was certain since she was educated by none other than his impish younger sibling, Kol. Her arrival to town was not only cause for concern, but an omen for what could be coming their way.
Elijah emitted an inaudible huff with a restricted smirk, then shifted in his mannerly stance to face her. “It has been a while and you appear to be well--but we both know that the modest scenery of this town is not what brought you here.” Burnished colored eyes scanned around the room again as he made himself alert to anything that could pose as a distraction. He refused to completely allow his guard down. After swiftly scanning the room, his gaze fell onto her once more. “So I will ask again, what is it that brings you here?”

Walking into the Grill, with a classic black dress, and though she may stand out among the residents here, she still stayed very true to the era she favored. There didn’t have to be special occasion but she supposed that she could be attending a funeral, residents funeral. As she wasn’t the type to let people live, after all it was an adventure. Settling down, she leaned over the bar, catching the attention of the bartender. “Bourbon please” she smiled, turning her head, she could someone in her peripheral vision but she said nothing. Letting them decide to engage or continue watching.
Elijah took notice to the familiar blonde that had entered the Grill, but hadn’t taken notice to the slight swallow caused by his newfound tension. It was bad enough there were concerns within his own family that he had to remain aware of, but now one more thing had strolled in right onto his plate. Once she finished placing her order for her glass of bourbon, he made his way over toward her, yet didn’t make eye contact right away. He simply stood beside her as his gaze remained watching the other patrons of the establishment, his tone remaining as collected as it usually did when addressing someone. “Scarlett Haven... To what mischief do we owe the pleasure of bringing you all the way to Mystic Falls?"
Elijah casually strolled through the town, silently observing his surroundings and the townspeople. Something within him appeared to be off but he couldn’t quite place his finger on what it was that made him feel a sense of unrest. Perhaps it was the newest arrivals that could pose a threat, or the people within the town could be conspiring against his family, either way Elijah was determined to make sure things remained cordial and composed or people would be met with the consequences.
He entered the Grill looking out of place as he usually did, wearing a well-tailored suit looking as proper as ever. The Original approached the bar and ordered a neat scotch, then glanced around at the subpar establishment that the locals loved to frequent. He didn’t entirely understand the appeal of the place, but figured the attempt should be made to see what all the fuss was about.
After being served his drink, Elijah took a light sip from his glass then placed it back onto the bar top, enjoying the warm sensation that slid down his throat. A partial grin appeared on his typically impassive features when he was approached by the familiar individual. “Rather than making the failed attempt to follow me, you could have simply accompanied me in the walk here.” He stated casually before taking another sip from his glass. “What is it that you want?”
