[ the thing about the magic was not that bailey was surprised it existed, no. shit like this happened all the time at home, whether it was magic spells, magic powers, or anything else. of course, bailey had never known someone or been involved with it, but it doesn’t mean he had never heard of it. ]
[ of course, once he became friends with noelle, he thought back to the story lefou had told him about rapunzel. it had crossed his six year old mind that there could be a chance his new friend had the powers, but he never thought more of it. ]
[ bailey considered himself to be a pretty mellow person, almost too mellow. so there was no freak out, no scared look upon his face, nothing. he just shrugged at the mention of magic, as if it were no big deal. ]
that’s cool, no biggie. i won’t tell anyone.
[ he thought about the fact that he was one of four people to know about this, even over her own siblings. it seemed odd to him that she wouldn’t tell noelle considering they were close, but he knew that was none of his business. every family had their ways, even his own. ]
His face was clean, so her hand holding the washcloth dropped unceremoniously into her lap. She wasn’t sure exactly what she’d expected Bailey to do, but no nervous breakdown was a good start. It was just so nonchalant --- no biggie --- it was a big deal to her. She could count the number of people who knew about her magic on one and, including herself. Bailey just shrugging the whole thing off wasn’t something she had prepared herself for. She’d expected something... more.
“ I... Thanks. --- I appreciate it.... How’s your head feel? ”
