Lance loved an introduction, especially whenever he had the upper hand. With a new Master of Coin it meant a new meeting would need to take place. After all Lance’s business was a large revenue source for the kingdom, the taxes alone were a nightmare. Thus it was always wise to be in good graces with the Master of Coin. He’d sent the letter, saturated with his personal perfumes and made great plans. The meeting would take place where he was most comfortable, that being the baths. A private room was prepared, essential bath oils spilled into the heated pool creating a relaxing aroma. Taking his position in the water, the heat soaking over his tense muscles he waits for Lord Gauthier. Only when the door opens and he’s greeted with the new Master does he stand, water running down his smooth body as he does so. 

“Surprised? Not many expect someone like myself to be a Master. Yet here I am. Please won’t you join me? The water is lovely…”

This was certainly not what he had been expecting. To meet a Master of Whispers in the brothel, to learn that he ran the brothel, it was... indeed something he never would’ve thought in a million years. But then... it also made sense. What better place to hear secrets than in the throes of passion, when men were at their most satisfied and willing to divulge secrets to the whores that warmed their beds? “You just caught me off-guard, my lord... Was it my brother that had named you to the council, or my nephew?” If it was Owen, he would certainly be surprised, but he could see Morris being this sly.

Or maybe it was neither, and it was Daphne’s efforts that had the man before him in charge of the gossip that comes into Dele.

“I suppose I will, since you’ve invited me all this way, but let me introduce myself to you properly, my lord. I am Mikael Gauthier, youngest brother of King Morris and the uncle of the future King Owen...” Of course, he knew that there was no need to introduce himself, but he wasn’t completely cocky to not offer proper greetings. “And the new Master of Coin, as my nephew as named me. And to who may I have the honor of sharing this bath with, my lord?”

If anyone would come into this chamber and interrupt Ram’s meditation, he considered Lysander one of very, very few who were allowed to do so without reproach. The Dragon Riders were folk to be respected; revered, even. Anyone with the ability to tame those wild beasts and turn them into allies surely deserved to be heard out, even if the timing seemed inopportune.

“It is alright, Lysander,” he responds calmly. “If anyone deserves my scorn at this moment, it is the queen, not yourself.” Ram knew Rohan rarely listened to a single word of instruction given to him, so this transgression wasn’t exactly unexpected, but still rather annoying. They would have to deal with it when they returned from Dele.

Then he turns his head to face the other man. “Is that all? How are the dragons faring on this day? Any reason for concern?”

The rider knew that he was luckier than most, that most other people would’ve probably been chewed out for their interrupting the king during his meditation - but it probably helped that he knew Ram when he was a young boy and that Lysander had proved to be a dutiful and respectful rider to the kingdom of Nok and House Pithou. “Of course, your grace. I apologize that the news I bring was not better, but if you would prefer, I will return to Dele soon to ensure the safety of the Queen and the crown prince.”

The words that came next had the rider taking pause, lips pursing together lightly. He spoke as if the dragons were beasts that could not control themselves - they were not the beasts of the Pardosa forest or inside the caves of the Magdani mountains. “My dragon is fairing well, your grace. He is quite happy to be here in Nok where he can hunt freely... He was growing tired of being fed sheep back in Dele - he wanted some variety.” Checking in with the dragon, he could see that he was currently eating a griffin, and he had to turn his eyes away - he did not need to see that, really.

“Is there a reason you are asking, your grace?”

Anand was quite bored, the brothel master had brought him of no one that even peaked his interest. They all seemed bored and he wasn’t in the mood to take some bored man to bed. He rolled his eyes as he waved his hand sending them away, watching as someone new entered the room. He knew they weren’t working at the brothel, but maybe he just needed someone else tonight. He stood up and walked over to the man, smiling. “Trust me, they have no one good here, how about I take you to one of these bedrooms and you and I have  a little fun together.”

The Rhormish prince always enjoyed visiting brothels whenever he visited a kingdom, and today was no exception. Walking into one, he was about to meet with the owner of the establishment when a familiar face walked over and admitted that there was no one good there. Zakar doubted that, as he had bene to this brothel before, but if Bhavan’s brother wanted to have fun with him instead? He certainly wasn’t going to deny him that. “I suppose that depends on what sort of fun you have in mind, Prince Anand,” Zakar spoke as he took a step closer, letting the light in the brothel illuminate his features. “Because the whores in this establishment love me, and they’ll be greatly disappointed if I don’t give them my affection.”

Min watched as the poor servent sputtered and stuttered before quickly running off in embarrassment. Min couldn’t help but to laugh as he watched the scene unfold, lips quirking up into a smile as he found himself both amused and also pitying the young man who had fled as if his life depended on it.

“Now, now,” Min spoke up from his spot off the side. The master of ships didn’t let his amused look fade one bit as he eyed the other man. “Did you need to scare the poor thing? It looked as if he was going to have a heart attack.” Min teased with a shake of his head and a playful look on his face.

The Hand of the King remained nearly expressionless as the other let out a small laugh, but he did glance in his direction as the other walked away in a hurry. It never failed to amaze him, the amount of times people wanted to see if his cock was just as big as the rest of him - it actually wasn’t as big as people often expected, but was that going to be something he told them? All he knew, though, was the man next to him seemed bemused by what transpired.

Even if Kyros himself was not.

“If he did not have anything of consequence to talk about, then he should have run off.” As should the younger male, he thought, but he wasn’t going to outright say that and instead he glanced over in his direction. “And why are you here? Did you want to talk to me about something?”

Alistair was almost in tears. The way that everyone was laughing at him was no different then when they did so in his own kingdom. Why is it that no matter where he went, Alistair managed to make a fool out of himself or to end up in people’s ways? Alistair was just about to say fuck it to decorum and flee the room as tears gathered in his eyes when someone came walking up towards him.

Fuck, he managed to do that in front of a prince? Alistair was almost imprressed with how dedicated lady luck was to destroying him. The klutz closed his eyes as he waited for the yelling and screaming to start, but instead he felt a soft material brushing against his face. Eyes opening in surprise, he looked up at the otherand bit his bottom lip.

“You…You don’t need to do that. It’s my fault anyways. I’m always to clumsy to be any help to anyone, it seems.” Alistair said with a sigh.  “Accidents don’t happen this often to normal people.” Alistair said with a slight whine in his voice.

It didn’t take a genius to see that Alistair had obviously been mistreated in the past. That he had probably been hurt and abused and lashed out for any little wrong doing. Is that why the man was so skittish, so afraid? Did he shy away from Matai’s touch because he had thought he was reaching up to strike him across the cheek? He wasn’t sure, but he couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sympathy. He had half a mind to have Alroy watch this man, figure out where he was from, so he could get some insight into his life. And maybe so that his parents could answer for the abuse that they obviously placed upon him.

“Some people are clumsier than others, it’s true, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still accidents,” Matai stated as he moved to place his hands behind his back. “Tell me, have you ever contemplated taking up meditation, or a martial art? I think both would do wonders for you.” One would help calm the male, get a grip on his nerves, and the other would help him build up his coordination and learn his body. “But forgive my manners... I am Prince Matai of House Meksi, second born son to the King of Eddis... It is a pleasure.”

Carlos didn’t get summoned that often. Carlos tended to stay out of the way and to merely provide assistance, support, and whatever when it was needed. So when he was told that the new master of coins requested an audience with him while he was in Dele? He had been surprised. He was hesitant…Wondering just what the other was playing at. But he decided to go. His curiosity simply getting the better of him. He wore a green, pink, and brown robe as he walked into the office that was now owned by…Mikael, he believed his name was? “I believe you summoned me? My name is Carlos.” The stoic warden asked cautiously, wondering just what a Master of Coins from Dele would want witht he Ondera warden. Well…Carlos supposed he was about to find out.

As the door opened, the Master of Coin lifted his gaze to meet who it was that entered, and he offered a small smile. “Indeed I did,” Mikael said, remembering the exact reason why he had summoned the other. Because during his travels outside of Aladonia, he had ported in a land known as Faerun and heard stories from a tavern worker about her son, the warden, in Aladonia. Now that he was back in his home country, he wanted to pass on the words to the young warden and he smiled softly. “Please, have a seat. Would you care for a drink, some butter bread while you are here?” Mikael asked, gesturing to a nearby table that had a pitcher of water and a couple of slices of bread upon it. “But I do want to thank you for meeting with me. I’m sure you’re beyond curious about why I had summoned you.”

Anand had only wanted to talk to the hand, make conversation, but the other’s attitude now had the prince wanting to be a bitch. He crossed his arms over his chest at the man, walking closer. “I do not think a prince has to have a reason to talk to anyone, but if you wish to know. I wanted to just discuss, I am tired of mingling with the other nobles and wanted to come say hello. I am Prince Anand.” said Anand as he watched the other.

“And what made you think coming to talk to me was wise?” Was it not obvious that he wanted no part in the mingling, given that he had pretty much sequestered himself to a wall and was not making any effort to join in the other nobles and royals’ conversations? He may be a noble now, but he hadn’t been raised in court and he hated how they had to converse. “Prince or not, that does not give you invitation to talk to someone that doesn’t wish for it to happen.” He knew how he came across, he knew that he wasn’t exactly the easiest guy to get along with, so he was surprised that this man was over here. “Unless you wanted to talk about you getting split open by my cock, then walk away. That is the only conversation worth while.” Was it a way to talk to a prince? No. But Kyros was not one to beat around the bush.

What the other spoke was true. There was a difference when it came to riding a dragon and simply being on one as it flew. “I wouldn’t call it thrust more like giving them your soul for a moment. People look at dragons and see danger but even knowing that some day i may have to fight one if the peace ends I see a beast that would protect me with it’s life given the chance.” It was something deeper that connected him to his mount and those of the other riders.  He nodded at the names of the rider and the other dragon that had now come into the space. He knew both of them where much older then Erix and Raygad, It was hard to find a rider that wasn’t older then the pair. He wondered if when he was their age if someone would look at him this way. Still he took their greeting for what it was. “Its nice to meet the both of you i hope this meeting will not be our last.”  He smiled at the other for a moment. “That is one of the reasons why we came out this far Raygad doesn’t like to be mounted as he hunts but if you and yours want to join him im sure we wouldn’t mind the company.”

“But in order to give them our soul, to become truly bonded, it does require a certain degree of trust, does it not? There is a reason they have us train together for years before we undergo our ritual.” Because those that were not bonded that underwent the ritual... never made it out alive. Still, though, he made no move to comment on how he wouldn’t refer to Udriam as a beast - dragons were more than just beasts, they were beautiful creatures honor of respect, and beast insinuated that they were nothing more than ravenous animals (it was why he had introduced himself to the dragon as well as the rider) - and instead he moved to let his hands brush against the white scales of Udriam as the white dragon looked at Raygad.

He wondered if the dragons were conversing with one another while the two of them had, as well. “It must be a dragon thing, not wanting to be mounted while they hunt... Udriam prefers to be alone when he does, too. But while they hunt from the air, perhaps you and I can hunt the woods for an elk or two to carry back to the stables - help the hands there serve our dragons something better than the sheep they’re growing weary of.”

Bazhra was visiting Dele to pay his respects. The Kingdom was lovely, but things seemed muted. It made sense, but it seemed to invite a certain melancholy. He had decided to get out of the castle to get some air and visit Danholm Lake. As he approached the docks, he looked out over the lake and took in the stunning view. He noticed a lone figure standing by himself at the end of the Dock. He took a slow breath and approached. He heard the man speaking quietly, but couldn’t make out what he was saying. He did finally recognize the figure once he heard the timbre of his voice. He stepped onto the dock and saw Mikael compose himself. “Come to enjoy the view tonight too, aye?” Baz stepped up to stand beside Mikael and look out over the water. In a patient, somber tone he said, “Grief hangs heavy over the castle, as it should. I stepped out for some air and wanted to see the lake. It is quite a sight to behold.” He looked over to Mikael and said, “my condolences to you Master Gauthier. Know that you do not have to hide your mourning from me. It is good and healthy to experience your emotions. I’m here if you’d like to talk. Comfortable silence is acceptable as well. Or, if you’d like your space, I can leave” Bazhra looked back out over the lake, giving Mikael the space to think it over.

A soft smile pulled at his lips as the younger male - or, at least, he assumed he was younger, given his features, but knowing what kind of people are out there he knew that he couldn’t necessarily assume that - spoke, and he gave a nod. “You are far too kind, but your generosity isn’t necessary... I had plenty of time to grieve on my travel here, and my brother and I weren’t nearly as close as one might believe.” Being called Master Gauthier was new, really, as he was used to being called Prince or Lord, but not Master. Sure, Owen named him the new Master of Coin upon arriving back in Dele, but that hadn’t mean that he’d be called Master, right?

Still, he moved to pat the space next to him. “You’re free to stay, kind sir, but you need not play a listening ear. You can, however, tell me what has brought you out here at this hour, because surely it’s not to listen to a man grieve for his elder brother.”
