Here ye, here ye, for (MIN) of HOUSE (JABARI), the (MASTER OF SHIPS) of (DELE) has just arrived. They are (THIRTY-ONE), and look a great deal like (MENA MASSAUD). Their vassals have described them as (RESOURCEFUL AND WITTY) but they also claim that they can be a bit (UNPREDICTABLE AND SARCASTIC). (ACE, 25, CST, HE/HIM/HIS, NONE)
Not all people in positions of power come from powerful families. Min Jabari grew up in a poor region outside of Aladonia. He was a professional thief, stealing people’s most valuables. The boy was resourceful and a quick thinker. Min had a child to feed, after all. And he was going to do whatever it takes to provide and care for him. If that meant he had to go hungry and steal? Then that’s exactly what he was going to do.
But one day, things didn’t go exactly as he planned. The person he was thieving from came home early, and he was forced to flee. Thankfully, he had their most valuable painting. The man chased him for awhile, but Min managed to escape him by sneaking onto a boat. His feet were trained to be silent no matter what terrain, and the sound of the waves did more to disorienate the man. Unfortunately for Min? The boat soon began pulling away.
Thankfully, his son stayed with his father and Min merely did bidaily visits and letters. So he knew his son would be cared for. He sneaked around the boat, managing to avoid being summoned...That is, until pirates suddenly attacked. Eager to take whatever was on the boat, Min reluctantly began fighting to help the boat that he was on. After all, the thought of drowning didn’t appeal to him. His quick wit and unpredictable plans and fighting style helped push the pirates back. Impressed by his skill and wit, the captain decided to take Min under his wing. Min kindly told the man that he had other places to be. But when he was told just how well the man was willing to pay him? He was quick to agree.
And that is how Min unknowingly became the apprentice to the previous Master of Ships. For years, he trained under the man. While he still stole and theft, he began doing it less and less until he managed to quit doing it altogether. He was still a sneak though, able to move around without making a single noise. Even on a ship or in a forest. One day during a mission, Min’s master never came back. Min was named the Master of Ships in his place, despite the fact that the boy didn’t necessarily want such a noble position. He didn’t want to be like one of these snobs, after all. But once again, the money called out to him. And he did have a kid to feet back home.
