Smiling, he went on eating the candy, trying to take in what Venira had said to him as best he could. At any rate, he definitely agreed with her. If there was one thing aside from bikes that he knew, the fact that taking time to enjoy life as it is was pretty important was it. Stopping for a moment, Kaneda caught sight of how she’d been looking at him. Two and two came together, then he held out the bag of gummy candy to her.

“You can try some, if you want. Plenty to share, so I don’t mind it.”

“I suppose that’s true. Can’t hurt to let it out of your system to someone willing to lend an ear.”

Venira had been looking at the bag with some curiosity, trying to see exactly what it was he’d been so eagerly chewing down. Now with it presented to her, she took a piece and bit into it. Far sweeter than what she normally ate, but...not terrible. She gave a small smile at that. Perhaps that was another little thing in life to enjoy.

“Thank you for the treat, and for listening to an old woman rabble on.”

She wanted to know where he was from? This was troublesome. Aamon may have been naive, but he knew well enough from cursory research that Demons weren’t seen in a great light in most universes. He stood ready to run at the drop of a hat as he spoke truthfully.

“I’m a Demon. Born and raised in the Second-Circle. I’m here to do cultural research on the differences between my underworld, and your overworld.”

That was certainly a tempting offer - but he had to stop right there. A Dragon?

“Interesting! Back in my realm, dragons were just fairy-tails! I’ll have many questions for you, to try and separate the tales from the truth, but…” Peering from side to side at the ruined landscape surrounding them, he finished. “…perhaps it’s for the best if that waited until some other time? Until we find a better atmosphere, at least!”

Perhaps she should’ve been expecting an answer like that, but it did partly throw her off. A demon was one thing, but he mentioned being from another realm... Venira would keep her judgement based solely on his words and actions for now. It was curious, but perhaps his friendly nature was legitimate.

“A demon? Its been quite a long time before I’ve met a demon under such amicable circumstances, in truth. I can certainly try to help your research, but I’m afraid you’ll find little culture left here.”

Dragons were merely fairy tales to him... exactly what sort of realm did he come from?

“I shall answer the questions to the best of my ability, provided they’re not too intrusive. A lady must have her secrets. As for a new locale, I can provide transport. You were quite unfortunate to land in the one inhospitable region nearby... shall I teleport us, or would you prefer flight?” Both were unorthodox forms of transport, but they were certainly the quickest way out.
