Like Real People Do {Tesleen}
Eve wasn’t sure what had happened to her new friend….It was somewhat odd for her to call Tesla that, but they had actually become friends despite everything that had happened between them so long ago. She was there one day and gone the next, and it upset Eve more than she had realized. Of course, she never was one to show these things but she felt them and now that Tesla was back she was happy again.
When Tesla had agreed to a little lunch date Eve’s smile didn’t leave her lips. She grabbed three movies that always made her smile; Hocus Pocus, The Devil Wears Prada and The Princess Bride and made her way to the girl’s room. She checked her clothes once before knocking on Tesla’s door and waiting for a reply. When she heard the girl’s chipper reply she smiled and pushed the door open, closing it quietly behind her. “Hi!” She said her smile growing at the sight of the other girl, she instantly walked over and wrapped the girl into a tight hug. “I missed you! It’s good to have you back.”
Tesla laughed joyfully and returned the embrace. “I missed you too! I forgot how great your hugs are!” She gave Eve’s waist a gentle squeeze. “It’s so good to be back. I love my mother, but I remember why I moved out as soon as possible.” she chuckled and loosened her grip on the girl. “It’s so good to see you Eve. I know it’s only been a couple of weeks, but it felt like forever.” Surprisingly, it wasn’t a stretch at all. While she wasn’t a loner exactly, Tess didn’t really find herself having many friends at a given time. Acquaintances, sure, but not usually people she thought would ever have been interested in her outside whichever setting they’d happened to be in. Eve was different, and the bibliophile was grateful.
