the thing about 2ha for me is that i'm not privy to recommending it to people usually, and not bcs of any TWs or anything. since i know most of my friends could kick stories that have such intense rape/corporeal punishment/torture/murder, etc..... its really mostly that i think the narrative is just Incredibly Emotionally Sad. & when you think it can't get worse it absolutely always will... RARELY does anything good happen & so the only thing that kept me reading was just that it has some really funny parts to even that out somewhat.

a ton of really messed up things happen but the only thing that really made me cry reading it (and i have never really cried over books or other fiction before) was finding Chu Wanning too relatable & just how miserable his mental state is... like. uh. he regularly has thoughts about how he's too ill-tempered and ugly and undesirable that like Mo Ran wouldn't even give him the grace of raping him to death. <- thats not even scratching the surface of how self-deprecating he gets either (literally happens within the first few chapters) ((& IT GETS SO SO SO MUCH WORSE!!!))

i got such severe emotional whiplash i'm still shook about hours later all because someone i was talking to casually randomly mentioned 2ha and how all they knew about it is that "it has a lot of TWs" . oh that novel? the novel which the quote on my account you're communicating with comes from?? the novel which i would never recommend to anyone else ever despite having such a deep love for it to put a quote from on my account????

one thing about having mainly read light novels whenever i do read any books is that, whenever im trying to write fanfiction it has made me want to have interior illustrations for my fics as well........ i wish everyone who had the time and effort put relevant illustrations in their fics. we should all be free and have maximum fun together

i've been really obsessed with a specific piece of 2ha fanart that randomly came to me, algorithmically, despite not having interacted with 2ha stuff for about a year now.......... but its like. constantly imbued my mind. mostly because of the method of like, depicting a contemporary AU + grooming in the form of a fake Myspace webpage screenshot. Incredibly Novel. Incredibly Beautiful. i have so many Big Feelings about it but they can really be summed up with: i want more people to see the artistry in that kind of crude webdesign and how it can be combined with casual fandomstuff like this...

ive been shoving it in whoever's face i think would even be mildly interested. it got at least one of my friends to start reading 2ha immediately. so i count this as a win... fufufu~
