Walking forward, she supposed that the taunting noble thought she’d join in, their smile only growing, but their hope was quickly dashed as she extended a hand out to the person on the ground. “People who toy with the weak are some of the most pathetic creatures, I’ve learned,” she said as she helped them up, a rare act of kindness from her.

“I may even have to say you lack the skill set to find a spouse, wouldn’t that be right, my lord?” she asked as she finally turned around. “Wait, no, you do have a wife, but you fool around on her while toying with innocent people who are working on improving themselves. Everyone knows how your poor wife has turned to your brother for solace - oh wait, I suppose you don’t know, do you?” she said, feigning shock as she covered her slightly smiling face. “I suppose if you want to pick on someone less powerful than you you make sure there’s not a stronger opponent nearby” she hummed as she watched him angrily storm off and she sighed. “Men”

He masks this affection with sharp sarcasm, intentionally acting out as the problem child to ensure the Countess is too busy managing his scandals to turn her cold, matchmaking gaze toward them. Would need to plot more, I think! But I can imagine that Julian is widely whispered about as the most avoided bachelor of the Divine Realm lol. He also tends to tolerate houses that are openly scandalous or messy, as he finds their lack of pretence refreshing compared to the calculated decorum of his own home. While he isn’t actively seeking an alliance, he might find himself drawn to a house that feels similarly trapped by the weight of their own legacy. what is their goal this season?

Julian’s primary objective for the season is controlled sabotage. He is fully aware that his parents have designated this as “the year” – the year that he must be matched. And he is rightfully dreading it. By making himself a liability, he hopes to buy himself (and by extension, his siblings) another decade of precious freedom.
