I started to work on this AU (Alternative Universe) where pink does come back and tries to fix all the mess she made and taking care of Steven. Her approach to White is a little more direct, taking for her the responsibilities and showing how much she has grown.
— Why do you act like a child?
— Because you treat me like one, and what is your excuse as to acting like a child?
Pink saves Steven with her tears and with his help stars to disassemble all the empire just as Steven did in SU Future.
— Is there anything left to do, Pin... mom?
Pink and Steven then to to the garden get Spinel, preventing the events of the movie. Little honeworld is safe, Earth is giving to Steven so a human (sorta) could have hold of the planet that was almost stolen.
— Why do you keep the gem rotated?
— Ah, Steven... Pink Diamond was a Diamond, considered a tirant until proven otherwise. Rose Quartz was a symbol I used to hide from homeworld instead of facing them as equals and that caused many problems. But when I was half of you, I loved being with you and being with you, somehow that reminded me who I was.
— So Pink, how do you wish to live?
— Just call me Mom, the rest we’ll find out in time.
The other diamonds reform after discovering their newfound abilities. Greg almost has a heart attack...
Steven has Lars and Lion’s powers with a 3rd tree inside his head. He’s pink now.
