ft. mantis
âHello Valkyrie!â Mantis said, genuinely happy to see the woman and waved to her. Mantis was sat on her knees meditating as she did when there were no jobs for her and she used this time to just contemplate the situation they were in. But she was happy for a distraction. âIs this madness? I suppose all of this has been very unfortunateâŠâ She comments thinking for a moment. âI am holding up fine though all things considered. The Terranâs I share a tent have been very nice and I see no need to be too uncomfortable with them. How about you? What do you make of the madness?â
It never ceased to amaze her how bright and bubbly Mantis could be, no matter the situation. She hadnât known her that long, but in the time she had known her, she was always friendly. And the entire time she had known her had been on this planet. How anyone could be so positive was beyond Val. She wasnât a positive, bright person. It was almost admirable. âI would call it madness, but Iâve spent the last couple hundred years in one place doing not much of anything,â she admitted. âOh yeah? Most of the Terrans I share with are painfully annoying, so youâre pretty damn lucky. Other than that, Iâd say Iâm doing alright.â
