Jace was surprised when AIden hadn’t returned a sarcastic remark at him after using the name baby to describe the younger boy. Jace’s mind flipped from nothing to s very interesting something. He imagined Aiden’s fingerers fiddling with the stubborn buttons of his checked flannel while Jace’s pulled the fight fabric over the tufts of the chocolate brown hair that sat on the top of his head. The worst thing was having a dream about someone where they love you and you could practically feel them touching you and it felt like the life was being sucked out of you or the happiness just drained out if your body that you felt so empty again when you realize it never happened. Jace took his hands from Aiden’s body and lifted up to unbutton the top of his shirt relieving some of the lagging tension in his muscles. “It is, I hope you don’t mind.” He said as if it didn’t mean a thing to him while in his mind he was freaking out for no reason. The flannel soon slid off of Jace’s toned arms to reveal ink stained skin and a toned upper body. His arms reconnected with the fair body acting as if he wasn’t half naked. “You okay?” He asked softly looking back into the soft brown eyes on his own.
Aiden flexed his shoulder to keep his head in a resting position as Jace adjusted, his tongue running out over his lips that were quickly growing chapped. Wasn’t alcohol supposed to have the opposite effect? Was it getting hot in there? Wake up. He’d come back to reality, eyes zoned out and glossed over on the toned upper body that had just revealed itself in painted glory. He swallowed over his parched throat, reaching forward with no hesitation for what he would’ve been happy to call a never ending chug of the drink. Unfortunately, it had to end and it did with a clink back on the coffee table. He hissed, wince, regretting it immediately thanks to the burn but didn’t bother say anything about it. As the side of his cheek rested gently over Jace’s bare chest, all he could do was listen to him breathing and absentmindedly find himself in sync with the pattern of breath. “... I don’t know, are you?” He asked, realizing they were close and wishing he never had to do anything about it.
