I don’t know if I can produce the correct words to describe the whirlwind of emotion I felt today.

Originally I was decently inactive on this account because I wasn’t caught up with Seonho’s new drama “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” and I didn’t want any spoilers while finding posts. I had been planning on starting it on next week. Now I probably won’t.

For those who are unaware, Kim Seonho confirmed his involvement with a controversy concerning an ex girlfriend. This tweet has her testimony in English (if someone has sources in Korean or more details please message me). To summarize, he convinced her to abort her baby, much more detail in the tweet I linked. I admit in the beginning I was somewhat apprehensive. I (evidently) really loved seeing Seonho and wanted to reserve judgment before seeing an official statement from Seonho or his agency.

This is his response in Korean (tweet) and English (tweet). It doesn’t address a lot of things, but apologizes for what’s happened which basically confirms that it’s true.

I’m at a loss. So many scandals have happened but many were of people I never really felt connected with (although the Seungri & JJY scandal did still hurt me nevertheless). I won’t even say I’m a serious Seonho stan as others may be, but I did really admire + care about him. Considering some of the other scandals, it can be a lot worse. He’s admitted that he’s at fault, even if the apology could’ve been better, but the whole thing is of course bad and I feel for the woman. Where do we go from here? It’s a question I’ve been asking myself. For now, I’ll be retiring from this blog. Not sure if I’ll be able to watch the show but I hope I’ll be able to because the other members deserve it.

1 Night 2 Days had such a profound impact on me during the pandemic. I cared so much for all of the members, and even watched Start-Up because of Kim Seonho. I mentioned in one of my previous posts that I had followed him when he had less than 600k followers on Instagram. I’ve watched and rewatched 1 Night 2 Days Season 4 episodes when I was feeling down or sad.

Don’t forget the happiness that you’ve felt. This tweet summarizes my feelings. The happiness is real; the comfort you’ve felt is real. It’s not wrong to trust someone. Hold onto the precious moments, but acknowledge the pain that that woman must have felt.

i’ve seen a lot of people talking about how du-sik’s story was a bit…. Lesser than what they expected….

Have you guys even watched the show? do you not remember the line in the show that somewhat goes “what seems easy for you may not be easy for others”

with du-sik, it started with his grandfather, his parents actually, he has that deep rooted trauma that everyone he cares about, leaves. and this just gets more reinforced with the loss of his hyung.

Invalidating someone’s trauma is not cool, thats not giving your “opinion” cause if it is not your trauma, not your baggage to deal with, you dont get to speak on it.
