*Sighs against her hair, running his fingers through it slowly* It’s not that bad… I promise… I won’t let anything hurt you… *Grows quite as the words sink in and he realizes he means himself to* I promise El…
*Just lets her body go limp against him* I believe you... *she whispers, finally just hugging him back because he's the nicest person she's ever met*
Finding A Room ll Eleanor and Axel ll
As the door opened, he looked towards the door and chuckled at Eleanor’s expression “It might be bad, but still I fucking like it. I’m dying anyway.” he said with a shrug as he stood up and threw the cigarette in the floor before stepping on it. He was picking it up probably later. “I won’t. I just realised this drawer gives me cigarettes or whatever I want. Even weed” he said as he looked at her. “Yeah, don’t worry” he said as he walked towards her and looked at her “let’s go”.
Eleanor smiled weakly at her companion for the next several minutes and she hugged herself, limping out the door as best as she can. "I might use your drawer sometime, then. I don't think mine ever did anything like that." She frowned as she tried to remember exactly what was in her room. "I wonder if you can redecorate the house by just imagining it in your head. That would be fun." She smiled at Axel shyly, trying really hard to come out of her shell and make conversation.
Oh~ I think that sounds like a good plan. A scavenger hunt would be great. we could maybe have some of those bright plants from outside being on the list - not the talking ones, but the smaller ones that look kind of artificial.
Maybe just random objects that have been left behind by other people. Which might turn out useful after the hunt.
Perfect. Whoever can collect the most useful and unique and hard to get items wins. Who all will play? Just you and me? Or should we invite the others?
God it feels like I haven't slept in days..
Wait, what it moved? How..I…my room hasn’t moved..at least I don’t think it has..unless I’m staying in a room that doesn’t move..or something like that. Physical form of hell, there’s a way to put it, heh. I mean, I guess you’re right, I never thought of it that way.Â
Yeah... perhaps. I don't know, I just know that I go back to the exact spot where my room was and every single time so far there's been a different door. If you're already bound to be insane, there's nothing to fear but death, correct? And this house doesn't seem that threatening.
Finding A Room ll Eleanor and Axel ll
Axel stood up and walked towards his closet, he was only wearing boxers and that girl seemed just too innocent. She would probably run away scared as hell if she saw him only wearing boxers. He chuckled to himself at the picture of that and scratched the back of his neck before he grabbed a pair of jeans and put them on. She has definitely seen boys in swimming suits so he not wearing a shirt didn’t sound like something disturbing. He threw himself in the bed and grabbed his pack of cigarettes and took one out, lighting it up with his zippo and throwing it in the night table. He had almost finished his cigarette when he heard a knock on his door “It’s open” he said as he puffed out smoke.
Eleanor heard his voice and she pushed the door open, the scent of smoke instantly hitting her face. She wrinkled her nose and limped in, leaning against the doorframe. "You know, smoking is bad for you. Especially since there aren't any windows in this room," she commented, worry filling her hazel eyes. "And won't you run out of them soon anyways? Never mind. Thank you for helping me find my room." She remembered last time she talked with Axel, he seemed very defensive. So she didn't want to insult him if he was going to help her.Â
*Frowns, slightly ashamed of himself* Oh El… I won’t let anyone out there hurt you. I promise! *Notices her shaking and movies quickly placing his drink down and taking her’s before pulling her into his arms* Don’t get upset El… It’s going to be ok…
*She stiffens in Robyn's arms and then relaxes against him, shutting her eyes and trying to calm her breathing* Th-thank you for being so kind to me... *she whispers this, curling up against his chest, feeling very much that he would be a good big brother figure for her here* I j-just met you and yet you're being so good and nice.
Creative sounds good, and I like the idea of a bit of risk. This whole place is full of risks. We could do something inside this mansion… place. Or outside. There’s a lot of rooms we haven’t looked into yet, so we could maybe involve them…
I completely agree. Rooms.... maybe a scavenger hunt of sorts? But they have to be really weird items... and some may be outside.
God it feels like I haven't slept in days..
Oh, I just kind of chose a room and called it my own. It’s close to the kitchen which I’m enjoying because food, you know? Maybe, what if it really screws with our head though? There’s goodness here?Â
Well, I chose a room too. But it moved. It probably will screw with our heads, but think about it. We're already stuck in the physical form of hell, what worse could happen to us? Yeah, there used to be. There must be some trace of happiness, right?
A game sounds interesting! I’m up for that.
What kind of thing did you have in mind?
Sweet!
It should be something creative... and there should be some sort of risk involved. That's what makes games fun.
I’d go out someplace - but I keep getting chased by cards and… such. There’s gotta be something fun to do though.
Well... maybe we can make up a game?
God it feels like I haven't slept in days..
Oh, sure, I don’t mind taking a walk, I’m still trying to find my way around.Kind of hoping I’ll find a secret passage but not one that might…kill me or something.Â
As am I, I'm still looking for my bedroom, actually. Yeah! Oh there must be hundreds in this place! I wonder if there's any magical rooms, maybe a room that, like, still has the goodness that Wonderland used to have!
*grabs the drinks and jumps up, crossing back to the bed and offering one* See… This house isn’t all bad is it?
*She takes the drink and sips from it* Not all bad... yeah... s'just confusing and in a bad place. Kinda eerie, too. I feel like, even when I'm here, there's someone wanting to hurt me... *She looks down at her ankle and the memory of seeing Alice cut out the eyes of the little girl fills her mind and she begins to tremble*
Finding A Room ll Eleanor and Axel ll
Eleanor sighed as she limped down the hallway, counting the doors and desperately trying to remember exactly where Axel had said his room was. Finally she heard someone moving behind one of the hundreds of doors and she sighed in relief. Even just walking through this place was painfully stressful.Â
She paused for a moment and bit her lip, glancing at Eileen. "Should I go through with this? He wasn't exactly welcoming last time I talked to him..." she asked her vision quietly. The young woman apparent only in her mind shrugged and the nodded. 'He is the only one who offered to help you find your room. You need your notebook, lovely.' Eleanor smiled weakly at her. "You're right," she admitted before stepping forward and knocking on the door marked with Axel's name.
Sure. It’s just great fun.
Okay, it’s really not. I just… yeah. What’s up?
Mmmm, that's what I thought. I'm actually doing the same thing as you, trying to find something to do.
We all do odd things when we’re bored. Don’t judge.
Having fun there?
