Something I really wanted to get out there while Im running the Crooked Moon for my friends and even though I know I dont post often on here I wanted to say it cause yeah :D

Also if your party consists of a half-elf paladin, doll sorcerer, spider artificer, rat monk, stone cleric, and tabaxi rogue DO NOT look bellow because ik at least one of you has tumblr

Or yknow don't look if you dont want spoilers for the Crooked Moon in general

So essentially my players are going through the Crooked Moon folk horror tome for DND 5e, made by Legends of Avantris, and they're currently going through the Crooked House.

NOW here's the thing, on one occasion during their excursion, the sorceress separated from the group. Only for a brief moment, but enough time for me to think of the idea of having her locked into a room.

Here's also the thing, even though the tome never says to do this, I had the Crooked Man pay the sorceress a little visit to put the fear of God in her. Luckily the paladin kicked down the door before she needed to make a saving throw but still. I kept a mental note of the room and increased the DC of the door kicking should they go into that specific room and become separated again.

And LO AND BEHOLD, our monk gets separated in the same room, and the paladin didnt pass the check this time.

But what was awesome was that right at the end of our session, the monk manages to pass a DC 19 CON saving throw and it was wild, bopping the Crooked Man on the nose to bat him away.

This is why Im so excited for the next session, since I'm going to have the monk up against the Crooked Man a round or 2. Not to kill him, God no, they're only LVL 3 and the Man has a CR of 11. Our monk would die immediately. Im just very particularly excited to snap his leg and put the fear of the Cult of the Crooked Queen into all these players. Its gonna be SOOOOO frickin cool
