Something I really like about tumblr not having an algorithm is that I can look at the freak shit without tumblr immediately assuming that's all I want to see.

I so badly want to start posting my long fics while I'm working on them because I crave validation and connection. But posting before finishing the entire work prevents me from editing to close up obvious plot holes or adjust early dialogue to better align with where the story ended up going vs where I thought it was going to go.

But also I want people to say nice things to me so I'm excited to keep writing. Unfortunately all my motivation has to come from within or whatever :/

I hate dumbass "think pieces" about how people are regretting their tattoos. This cycle happens once every couple years and the examples are always people with the most dogshit tattoos you've ever seen in your life. I don't think tattoos are the problem, I think you are. Maybe if you had better taste you wouldn't now be regretting the blurry, blown out butterfly tattoo that takes up half your face which you got done at 17 in the back of a stranger's van.

I don't think your bad choices are indictive of how people will feel about their tattoos in the future. I have good taste, don't lump me in with you.
