Okay, so when I download movies or tv shows, I download them off torrent websites, mainly this one. Idk if you’ve ever downloaded torrents before but you need a program called uTorrent to download them. So once you have that downloaded, search whatever you’re wanting to download on Kickass. A bunch of different files will show up. If you don’t know which one to click on, I always go for something that’s 1080p or WEB-DL if it’s a tv show. If you need help with that, let me know. Once you figure out which file you want to download, click the little magnet link.
Once you click that, a popup will show up asking you to launch the application. I use Google Chrome so idk if other browsers do this.
Click “Launch Application” and uTorrent will automatically open. With most torrents, there’s usually some random files so I only check the video file I want. Then click “OK”.
After that, the torrent will start downloading. This can usually go by pretty quickly or take a lot of time. It’s always different for me. But once the torrent finishes downloading, you need to convert it. I use XviD4PSP 6.0
So I open that program and drag the video file I want to convert right under the “Add Media File” section. A new window will show up and it’ll countdown from 10. After that, just close that window.
Now you’ll need to change the format of the video. Choose MP4. Under the video settings, choose COPY. For the audio settings, it can vary depending on the file type you’ve downloaded. If it says Audio: AAC, you want to change it to COPY. If it says Audio: AC3, you want to choose MP3. If this is confusing for you at all, here’s a YouTube video where I learned all this.
Once you have all those settings changed, click “Save As” and save the file wherever you want to keep it. I have a folder named “Movies” in my downloads so I save it in that folder. Then click “Start Encoding”. It’ll start encoding and once it’s finished you’ll have the video in an MP4 format and you’ll be able to open it in Photoshop. I usually delete the torrent once I have the converted version. And that’s about it :)

Hi love! Sure, it’s no problem! I just recently learned how to make gifs and there’s a lot of steps to it. This will probably be a long post so I’ll add everything below the cut for people who don’t want to see it. Just click on the link below to keep reading. :)
1. Firstly, you’re gonna need Photoshop and content to GIF with. Make sure you’ve downloaded your content in an MP4 format. (If you don’t know how to do this or where to download something, let me know and I’ll go more in depth.) Once you’ve done that and opened Photoshop, click on the double arrow icon in the right hand corner, then click “Motion”. That will allow you to make your frames animated, aka making a GIF.
2. After you’ve done that, click “File” > “Import” > “Video Frames to Layers”.
Once the window opens, go to the folder your video’s in and select the video. I’ll be using Fifty Shades of Grey for example. Another window should then open. Change your settings to the ones shown below then select the section of the video you want to GIF. You can do this by holding the shift button down and moving the slider until you find the scene you’re looking for. Make sure you hold the shift button down throughout the entire scene you’re wanting to GIF. Then click “OK”.
3. The window will then close and all the frames will show up. I usually like to delete all the frames I don’t need first. You can do that by using the trashcan tool at the bottom of the animation window. Delete all the frames you don’t want until you have your desired scene to GIF.
Next, you need to crop and resize the GIF. I’m cropping mine to 245 x 140 pixels. To do this select the crop tool in the tool bar (5th one down) and type in your desired size.
Then select the part of the GIF you want, right click, and click “Crop”.
Now that you’ve cropped your GIF, we need to resize it. You always want to stick with the same pixels you used to crop or else everything will look out of proportion. So, I’ll be using 245 x 140 pixels again.
To resize the image, go to “Image” > “Image Size”.
A new window will then show up. Once it does, change the dimensions to your desired size.
4. After you’ve done that, the next step is to change your frame delay rate to 0.12. The quickest way to do this is by clicking the little icon at the top right of the animation window and selecting “Select All Frames”.
Once you’ve selected all the frames, click on the little arrow below one of the frames and select “Other” from the drop down menu.
Another window will open. Change the frame rate to 0.12 and click “OK”. Depending on how fast or slow you want your GIF to play, change the delay to your desired speed.
5. Once you’ve finished all those steps, it’s time to add a PSD (you can download some here if you don’t already have some). To do this click “File” > “Open” > and select the PSD you want to use. It will open in a different window. Go to the new window and right click on the PSD. Click “Duplicate Group” and change the destination to your GIF file. Then click “OK”.
Once you’ve done that, the PSD will show up in your layers. Make sure the PSD is on top of all of your GIF layers. Mine usually shows up above the first frame, so all you need to do is drag it to the very top.
If you need to make any adjustments to the PSD after this, make sure you have all frames selected so it adjusts the PSD on all layers. I normally don’t need to adjust anything unless it’s a dark scene.
6. Now you’re done, so just go to “File” > “Save for Web & Devices”.
Another window will appear. Change your settings to the ones below if they aren’t the same. Then click “Save”. If you want, you can press the play button at the bottom to see what your GIF will look like. I always like to check to make sure it looks the way I want it to and I haven’t made any mistakes.
And now you have a GIF. Here is my final product.
