Just as captain of the team he's been great. He's just very consistent in who he is. I know that he really cares a lot about his own game, about the team. I know it really hurts him when things aren't going well because he cares deeply about it and he shows that with how he plays

I've said it a number of times, I don't give Nico a lot of easy shifts. You know, he takes on tough assignments. The amount of faceoffs that he takes, he picks up a lot of the slack in different areas where we need him to take on extra duty for our team, d-zone starts.

To [be deployed the way they are and] have numbers like that, still be producing offense is pretty tremendous. So, 600 games, he's got a lot more to play in this league and he doesn't take any nights off.

for me personally, one thing I learned was trying not to be too hard on myself. I think, I was a guy that was always; still am and it's still a good thing, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I think that's a character thing from me that made me who I am.

I was always very hard on myself, pushed myself, but sometimes it's okay to to be nice to you and take a little bit of weight off your shoulders.
