Keefe said such nice things about Nico in his post game. But ofc no one posts about it on Twitter/ insta. Did you see it!
I did! I'm surprised Amanda didn't post the quotes but maybe she will today
Just as captain of the team he's been great. He's just very consistent in who he is. I know that he really cares a lot about his own game, about the team. I know it really hurts him when things aren't going well because he cares deeply about it and he shows that with how he plays
I've said it a number of times, I don't give Nico a lot of easy shifts. You know, he takes on tough assignments. The amount of faceoffs that he takes, he picks up a lot of the slack in different areas where we need him to take on extra duty for our team, d-zone starts.
Looking at it today, since the Olympic break, Nico and his line [...] had given up basically nothing. The best defensive line on on our team. To [be deployed the way they are and] have numbers like that, still be producing offense is pretty tremendous. So, 600 games, he's got a lot more to play in this league and he doesn't take any nights off.
he's said the rest quite often but it's always so sad hearing about how nico takes losses harder than anyone
on his one time all stars episode he talked about things he'd tell his 18-year old self
for me personally, one thing I learned was trying not to be too hard on myself. I think, I was a guy that was always; still am and it's still a good thing, I'm not saying it's a bad thing, I think that's a character thing from me that made me who I am.
I was always very hard on myself, pushed myself, but sometimes it's okay to to be nice to you and take a little bit of weight off your shoulders.
he just cares about this team and about doing his best for them so so much
