Just a Barista ( Part 1 )
Every morning you would go for a jog, do your runs, and come back home, but your favorite part of this routine was going into your favorite coffee shop, The Chill Spot. It was just as the label said, a chill spot. They served everything you liked slushies, ice coffee, free wifi, and friendly regulars. You walked in with a bright smile on your face waving at your friend from school; Beth who worked 9 to 5 every weekend. Your eyes widened when you saw a tall boy at the register you usually order at, you went over to Beth. "Hey babe, what happened to Jeff?" You frowned and nodded over to the boy at the end of the counter serving coffee to a middle-aged woman and smiling. "Ohh Jeff quit, ha, he said he wasn't getting paid enough and he wanted to follow his dreams" You giggled, Jeff was always a dramatic. "Welll in that case, i'll just let you too it" you walked over to the new guy and smiled admiring how hard he was working, just by cleaning the counter. "Hey hon" his head snapped up hearing your perky voice ring in his ears. "Y-Yes, what can I get you" he mirrored your smile, and you could tell it wasnt forced. "Why so jitterish, this is a chill spot ya know" you let the joke sink in, when he began to laugh you noticed how cute he was. He had dark curly hair, dark eyes, lovely skin, and he was grinning so hard he had eye crinkles, this boy was stunning. "that's a good one, um, i just don't want to mess up first days are hard for me" you smiled and nodded a understandable nod then pointed to the menu behind him, "my usual..an iced cinnamon spiced frappuccino" the guy smiled staring at you you cleared your throat and he began working blushing at his gaze. The next day you walked back in the shop, waving at everyone you knew and you looked over at the new guy's station. He was already looking at you smiling when you noticed him. You walked over to him and leaned against the counter wiggling your eyebrows he laughed. "how come you are so friendly" he began making a drink, "maybe i just want a friend" his eyes looked up and it had something in them, a glint or spark, it made you weak. He handed the drink to you and nodded, "Go ahead it's on me" you giggled taking the drink and having a sip, it was delicious, sweet but spicy, and chilled like what you usually have but better. "This is amazing! What do you call this..er" he grinned, "Calum, what's your name?" "Y/n" you rocked on your heels "Then i'll call it the Y/n". you blushed, hard. "Im flattered, i never had someone name something after me" Calum just shook it off, "Its no sweat, I invented it for you actually, was up a while trying to get the recipe down" "Well in that case how about I make up for that time" Calum’s eyes widened slightly, trying to figure out what you were suggesting. "Dinner? tonight?" He smiled and nodded "I'll pick you up at around 7." He took his phone out and gave it too you as you punched in the number you could hear Beth in the background. "Aww you two are so cute Cal and Y/n!" you both nervously laughed, you handed him his phone and waved a good bye. That night was amazing. Calum had taken you out to a diner that had a jukebox and karaoke. You danced with him, drunk a couple of drinks, and even slow danced. When you thought the night was over he had surprised you by singing mistletoe by justin bieber through the karaoke mic. Calum got a standing ovation and you ended up kissing him when you got home. You both were giggly like a young teen couple, he wished you a good night and drove home with rose stained lips and a warm, filling heart. That was nearly a month ago, you and Calum have been inseparable since. Beth had phoned you early this morning saying that you really needed too come down to the shop as soon as possible. It sounded like an emergency so naturally you came running. The building was still standing and you stook your head looking through the window. The door said closed but you saw people inside. Beth, Calum, and a pretty female rubbing against him. You felt your heart shatter. He was so close to her talking to her and paying attention to only her. You tried the door and it swung open, everyone's eyes landed on you. "Y/n finally! This scumbag has another woman!!" Beth ran over to you. Thats when you felt your cheeks turn red. You walked over to Calum, Beth by your side. "What..the..fuck" Calum looked confused he reached out for your hand but you snapped it by your side. "Y/n its not what it looks like" the woman didnt say anything but laughed, you looked over at her. "Calum baby why didnt you tell this little girl about me" she scoffed as he looked over at her eyes stern, her arms still tight around his, her breasts enveloping his arm. You then began to let the tears fall. Calum slipped away from the girl and tried to grab for you, you pushed him back and he nearly fell over. "Get the fuck away from me you cheater!" you shouted inhaling harshly. Calum’s cheeks felt hot "no babygirl i-" his eyes began to water. "It was all a lie, the singing to me, the pet names, the hugs and kisses, everything! I felt something with you and i thought you felt it too!" You wiped your tear stained cheeks and ran out the door into your car and drove home. Not noticing that when you turned your back, Calum began crying as well.
