Sometimes on cold days I like to pull my beanie up over my ears to feel the air and hear the birds that persist.

The robins are whistling and I'm wondering if they can see their breath as they're asking me about that one time Hell froze over

They feasted on patterns and shared masks

Polka dots clashing with plaid

Wrap me up

Chrysalis

I think if I change my body I will be free from the touch of calloused hands and fingertips placed around my wrists

Definition forming like mountains across my shoulders

My plates shift and I no longer erode
