“do it. if you think you have enough mental willpower to shoot me.” yuuto takes another step forward, his head rolling to the side to stretch it out. he reaches up with his thumb and index finger, zipping up his jacket. his eyes become sharp, his pupil constricting. he steps forward again, looking past the gun into shino’s eyes.
“i don’t think you understand who exactly you’re going up against. i work under him and i still don’t know fully who….or what he is. if you’re stupid enough to try to go against him…” his wings open and several feathers come up to float around him. “like i said, i’d rather see you die because of me than because of him.”
he slides his foot behind him, putting his weight on it. “don’t be an idiot shino. don’t make a stupid choice. just fuckin’ die already!” he pushes off, slashing the daggers down in an x motion. his feathers come around to shoot at him from different ways. he slides around the back, flipping backward and kicking his foot up to try to knock the chief off balance.
yeah….there it was. the full on guilt of what he was doing. he thought he had enough time to get rid of it. it seemed like he didn’t. it seemed like no matter what he did it would still be there. especially for shino. whom he should hate, but couldn’t bring himself to.
“make a smart choice god damn it!”
Came the shout! Followed by a loud thud and a rush of claws against the pavement. He had been anxiously waiting, knowing full well that going up against this man without a distraction was a death sentence, especially for himself.
The large wolf got closer and wouldn’t hesitation dug his fangs deep into the young villain’s arm once Hawks’s foot was off the ground and pulled with all of his might to throw the already positioned man off balance. Ran would not let go and his bite only became stronger the more his anger overtook him.
He vowed to protect Shino at the cost of his own life. A childish promise but one he swore to and he was going to make true on that promise. Throwing himself into this situation... No. There was no use for second guesses. This is what he wanted to do, it’s what he had to do. If Shino was to fall, he would not fall here and especially not by this person. He will not allow it not while Ran was still alive.
Ran twisted his head and his body with further attempts of disorientation. He would not allow Hawks to harm Shino further. He would buy him time to flee and would fight for that time. With his fangs deep in the other’s arm, Ran could not repeat his words of retreat but he hoped that Shino would not waste time. The situation was dire, he should know that much!
