As we approach the end of the year
I think I can now come out and say it, this is probably the best new book I’ve read.

About those weird noises
“I want to know about the personal struggle, about the weird noises that happen miles away and pierce your brain and mean you can’t turn the lights on in your house.” Jarret Middleton said this and a lot of other good stuff, probably better stuff, but this stuck. He said it on the Otherppl podcast, ep 490. And it’s not an exact quote either but the gist is there—you know what? Go and check it out for yourself, listen from the beginning all the way through to end.

Blizzard date
1968-70: The first of these 2 winters saw snow in late December, around the New Year, in Eastern Scotland and England. Eastern Yorkshire saw a massive 16 inches! Mid February saw more snow, this time more to the West, with England and Wales seeing the most. Mid March saw more in the Pennines, and a TV mast fell down. 69-70 saw snow for Northern England, North Wales, and Scotland in mid November. Mid December saw snow for the North again. Mid February, most parts, and early March, snow in Wales and England, with the Midlands getting 12 inches. Via Netweather.tv
Pants reserved for doctors appointments, is probably one of the more ridiculous things I do.
There’s no sense to it. None.
Never been interviewed.
I was thinking, I’ve never been interviewed, then I remembered I had. I was six or seven years old, I’d won a recital at my village Eisteddfod; somebody else’s poem that we had to learn by heart and recite with exaggerated enunciation as though battling a wasp that was for whatever reason inside out mouths. The prize was money, a small amount, and the public humiliation of being asked an awkward question. I cried. No way they got their money’s worth.
