In past draws and giveaways, I've enjoyed the opportunity for my work to find a loving home with someone who might not otherwise afford it. As I work to recover from an incredibly difficult financial period and face the very real possibility of not being able to fund the final year of my degree, I'm hoping to combine fundraising with an (I hope) enticing prize for one lucky winner. Contest closes Sunday, 26th April at 6pm London time.
Good luck! :-)

Inventing hours in the day to weave again, working on a new piece (and entire collection) for the first time since 2023. I'm so excited to share these
In the meantime: there are 5 remaining original handwoven works from 2018-2023 available. The last of the first chapter, if you will. See them here.
Hey, Cordera, I've been trying to get a hold of you over email for a week.
The âFiore beaded bagâ in your FW 2025 collection is a direct reproduction of one of my handwoven tapestry designs from 2019. Itâs a lovely bag, but unfortunately an exact copy of my work. Not a detail is different. I was never consulted, credited, or, crucially, compensated for its use.
While the bag is not for sale on your website - whether you quietly realised and removed it, or have just sold out Iâm not sure - it is still being sold by a number of your stockists at around âŹ500 per unit. Bags have also been gifted to influencers, who would have had no reason to doubt the legitimacy of the design, whoâve then posted to their ~150k-500k+(!) followers with zero credit.
Prior to this, I wasnât familiar with Cordera, but I see many of my most stylish friends are fans. You seem to have good values and to be passionate about craft. If youâd licensed my design or hired me on to consult for the project, I may have been happy to work together. Iâm surprised that a brand positioning itself as a high quality, ethical fashion label would recreate any design - even a royalty free image - without changing a thing, let alone an artistâs work. Perhaps you found the source image online with no details, but a quick due diligence reverse image search by your design team would have given you my name. Iâm even more disappointed to see this was a collaboration between yourselves and âa womenâs community in Central Americaâ. People have likely purchased this item thinking theyâre supporting under-championed craftspeople, when in reality, the product is taking from a small student artistâs livelihood.
Iâd love a reply so we can discuss an appropriate resolution, so please do email me back: [email protected]
