â! Despite her stubborn nature, the teen couldnât find any more strength to argue much more on the matter. Despite the manâs best efforts of⊠Well, whatever it was heâs been using, the blonde still feels rather weak from losing so much blood in such a short amount of time. Not only that, but she had made the mistake of over exerting herself multiple times with this injury, only adding to her pain and blood loss.
However, Courtney does listen to the manâs words⊠Itâd be hard not to, especially when he briefly yells at her. Instead of feeling more frustration, the star-garbed teen finds herself a little shocked upon hearing those kind of words from him, especially since she had gotten the impression that heâs rather old and cynical⊠Possibly one of those ex-hero types.
Though with what he says, it seems that Courtney isnât entirely wrong about that.
    â Alright, â she sighs.
â Since you want to know so badly, Iâll tell you, though I donât⊠I donât know their name. I donât really think they know mine either; the entire fight happened so quickly⊠â easing up slightly the blonde tries to seat herself in a way that doesnât hurt her leg any more than it needs to endure, her azure gaze looking at the odd contraption on the ground beside her frame.
â He wore all black; black boots, pants, hood⊠Everything. And he had this mask⊠It sort of looked like a skull but not quite. A-Anyway, before he shot me I broke his arm so his arm might not be properly back in place yet if that helps my description any. â
It was as if though he was back at Overwatch with how much lecturing he was giving this girl, the amount of leadership needed to get a better hold on the situation. However, Soldier had no intention of reliving such experiences..especially not today. âIts finally nice to see that youâre listening for once.â He comments with a sigh of relief to her cooperation, his hand still resting on her shoulder. His priority was to chase down the MAN who did this but it seemed he needed to get her taken care of before the hunt began, what a chore for the ex-hero it was.
His hand moves to help her prop herself off of the injured leg, allowing her to put on the dead weight on his shoulders. âI donât care about names, its what theyâre PACKING that has my attention.â Drug lord, criminal, or even HIM. âSeems like you got blindsided pretty quick, kid.â Jack knew whatever she messed with wasnât exactly someone with no experience, Simply someone who had motives.
He wore all black; black boots, pants, hood⊠Everything. And he had this mask⊠It sort of looked like a skull but not quite.
Her woulds caused his heart to falter, the once relaxed soldier was now feeling the angry swell up inside him. Jack KNEW. He just knew it was him who caused this injury on the girl and more likely others. Given the description could be anyone in the large city..there was only one person..MONSTER he knew who wore such. âYeah,â Was all he could say as his hands balled up into a tight fist.âIâll give him what he needs.â A good olâ shot to the face. âI can take you to someone I know whoâll get you fixed up, leave the rest to someone with experience.â
Jack held out his hand again to see if she was more willing to cooperate, ensuring that her safety came first.
