If there's any one thing that I feel is the MOST important aspect of a living space, I would say it's the windows. This image stopped me in my tracks. I could live in a one room house if it had a window like this. The rustic yet elegant simplicity is brilliantly stunning. I found this image on pinterest, so if anyone knows the original photographer, let me know and I'll credit them!

I can completely relate to this. There is something so renewing and energizing about spring...something that makes one feel that everything is ready for a fresh start and full of possibility. The joy and wonder of baby animals being born, watching tiny seedlings bravely stretching for the sun and collecting fresh eggs--- the fragrances and sensations of farm life never get old. Some will disagree and say I am too romantic about it, but I say we need to learn to appreciate the beauty in living closer to our roots and celebrate every aspect of it. Pure linen tea towels and cloth napkins add such a rustic, functional elegance to the kitchen-- a true European touch. I love that with linen, even though it is costly it is a solid investment in your home. It only grows more soft and beautiful and with use.
