Feedback Needed:

With the announcement of Adventure Awaits, it sounds like it could make a lot of my ideas for my save file possible. Right now, there are a ton of small businesses in my save being run by sims, many of which are just destinations like campgrounds, clubs, etc. I am thinking of waiting until that pack comes out and then changing a bunch of the businesses to getaways / custom venues or whatever they're called. I am already using pretty much all of the packs for this save, and since it's not a limited-pack save, I might as well use the new one. I honestly think it will make everything more enjoyable if it functions the way I think it will.

Would you rather I release this save file towards the end of September with lots of small businesses, or should I wait a tiny bit longer and change some of these to the new custom venue type? Or should I make two different versions (but is that even worth the effort)?

Hello! I recently came across your Painting Default Replacements. I like the ones you chose to make for most of the types of paintings, but I prefer less realistic paintings for the emotional ones. I would not know how to open the package file to select the types I prefer. Is this possible? Would you consider splitting the whole package into types of paintings, please?

Hi there! I am so sorry, I thought I responded to this already. I made an additional version that does not override the emotional categories. You can find that on patreon for free here. I just deleted those files from the mod, but if I get the time in the future I can probably split all of the categories.

Save File Update - East Fernridge County (formerly Newcrest)

East Fernridge County is nestled in the valley and has three very different districts: an older area with low-income housing, a suburban neighborhood, and a wealthier downtown district centered around a university (though it’s actually a decorated area, not a real university). The vibe in EFC is more social, with a strong focus on community events and activities, rather than outdoor adventures.

With the completion of the eastern/valley region (newcrest), the entirety of Fernridge County is complete! There are still a few glitches for some of the residential rental lots, but there isn't anything I can do about it, unfortunately. For the next version of this save file, I'm considering reducing the amount of rentals and just moving those families to Oasis Springs. I really love the look of the apartment buildings, though, so for now they'll stay.

Save File Update: West Fernridge County

I’m excited to share that I’ve transformed Willow Creek into West Fernridge County! Along with that, Newcrest has been revamped as an extension of the same world and is now called East Fernridge County. The original world decorations have been removed and I've customized everything from scratch. If you want to see that process, look at the YouTube video on a previous post. Both worlds will appear in the world select menu with their custom names.

For now, here are a few screenshots of WFC. This area of the county is made up of three distinct regions, each with its own unique atmosphere, though they all share a common theme of evergreen trees and mountainous backdrops. Think of the neighborhoods as individual towns that flow together.

Hi! I came across your s4 easel replacements and I was wondering if you have a non-merged version? I have painting replacements from other creators in different styles and I'd like to mix and match some of those with some of yours. I tried unmerging it myself but S4S said it was either not a merged file or it was created with a version of the program that didn't support unmerging. Thanks in advance!

I've been building a save file from scratch and I am sooo happy with how it's turning out! Can you believe this was Willow Creek?? This is my old factory district. Sort of NJ and upstate NY inspired? If you want to know about my process, I have a tutorial on youtube where I make one of the other neighborhoods.

Sorry for disturbing, I downloaded your paintings override mod and find out they aren't working. I opened the package file and accidentally find out the paintings in the file are same as the base game ones. Maybe you put on the wrong file so that the mod isn't working?

Sorry, I don't have the files unmerged. It's all a jumbled mess of numbers. That's a good idea, though! I wish I were better with Sims 4 Studio so I could figure that out.

Oleander's Sims 4 Painting Overrides

UPDATED FOR LOVESTRUCK

This file will replace the easel paintings that your sims can create in the game! If you play as an artist a lot like I do, you get tired of seeing the same paintings all the time! So I made this to change things up! It does not include the landscape and figure paintings categories, just the base game styles and all emotional categories. It is not compatible with any other painting override mod, so make sure you only have one in your game at a time. Place it in your mods folder.
