wow, so… I basically vanished. Uhm– hi! I do intend to come back to this account at some point, but I’m not really sure when. This last month was really hard and my family life is… difficult at best. I will be coming back. I can promise. But until I get in the proper headspace to write loveable space mom again, I’m going to put Rose on a hiatus. it’s a foreign topic, something that causes eyebrows to furrow yet simultaneously causes WONDER & just begs for her to lean forward to gaze at the crystal that rests on a pudgy stomach. & while half at her is ANGRY at herself for not knowing more on the topic, the other yearns to learn about it. eyes wide & an EXCITED persona halted for the time being, she casts her hazel hues from the gem to the PINK woman & nods.

She hadn't expected her skin to be drawn into question-- she supposed she was luckier than some other gems, since in her eyes most humans tended to look a little pink as well. Another soft burst of laughter escaped Rose, and she gave a nod, before the girl encouraged her to go on.
Taking a breath, Rose crossed her hands over the gem, shutting her eyes a moment before exhaling the breath. Her right hand, closest to the gem, made a grabbing motion, the other hand dropping away as she pulled backward, her sword emerging.
❝Bet you've never seen that before,❞ Rose couldn't help but laugh-- She was a bit of a show off. Just a bit.

“ Sorry, I don’t deliver mail anymore. I’ve got an audition coming up. Here,, I don’t need this anymore. ” He dropped his mail carrying bag in the hands of the woman, smiling as he said farewell to his former career.

" you know actually I’m gonna need that back. I probably shouldn’t leave other’s mail in the arms of a stranger.“
A light sort of laugh escaped Rose as the boy dropped the mail bag into her hands, before he quickly seemed to change his mind and whip back around.
❝Probably for the best; you never know what trouble someone could get into with someone's mail. I might have stolen all of their coupons.❞
She returned the bag to the odd mailman, chuckling to herself.
“Oh my gosh,” the boy gasped, clasping his hands to his face. “I- I did it? Wait… I did it. I really did it!”
Slowly reaching out, he made to grasp his shield. His touch was gentle and hesitant as he ran his fingers along the rosy, transparent surface. Steven took the round object between his hands and began taking in every inch of its surface. Eyes bright with fascination, he traced the thorned vine round and round to the gem in the center.
“Wow, it’s so bright… and so warm…”
She wasn't surprised he'd done it; she knew he could, she had more faith in him than he seemed to have in himself... which she supposed was normal for a mother. Mothers seemed to believe their children could move the stars.
Rose smiled in silence as Steven observed his shield, watching as he took it into his hands at last. The 'weapon' had been passed down; she could no longer summon it, she knew, but was happy to see any appreciation her son could have for it. It was in good, safe hands with him. Someone who would use to protect, the way it was meant.
