welcome to my multi-fandom fic blog! it'll probably be mostly headcanons, but I'll write for ALMOST any character (not children ((unless it's plantonic / familial)) or the one's I deem aroace. they will be written plantonically and I will tell you.) if I receive an ask with a character I don't write for, I will dm you telling you. if it is asked anonymously, I will simply delete the ask. that being said, i reserve the right to delete any ask I do not wish to write. if you want to find specific characters, search them in my tags! bruh he can't even handle a hug, what the hell do you mean you actually care about him and not his skills in the sheets?? (his words)

this takes him a long while to get used to... typically, he tries to avoid any sort of real "intimacy", the real sweet kind, anyways. so to have a partner who is so quick to love-bomb (for lack of better words) at the drop of a hat, ready to show their love in a way he isn't used to, is something that will take patience and persistance to be accepted.

a small headcanon of mine is that, considering the circumstance, harlequin didn't get the chance to learn to read till later on and even then he didn't care for it. he can read obviously, but it's almost like dyslexia for him.

this also means that those big fat books worth of love letters and words of appreciation? phew, that's... that's a lot of big words. it annoyed him tryin to read them enough to where he just.... doesn't read it when you give him one. he will, however, stare at it and space out. the fact that you did this for him definitely does something to him... he doesn't like it.

and all the drawings of him?

listen, he doesn't give a shit about the arts, i'll be blunt. he doesn't see a need for them or understand any type of lasting impression it's supposed to have on anyone. it's just a bunch of goop on a canvas and scribbles on paper! who cares!! he can do that too!!!

but when he sees the drawings you make of him, it gives him a little ego boost. he supposed it isn't all bad...

bitch ::gender neutral chibi thing:: what the FUCK have you gotten yourself into.

he is seriously, without a doubt, the most attentive person you could be with- no competetion. but that's because this guy will not leave you alone long enough for anything to go wrong. you never have an issue because he never lets one happen! because he's watching your everymove and knows exactly what you want and need whatttttt?

but he's a perfect partner! truly, picture perfect!!

once you give up and love him, ignore everything he did to get your attention, you will never feel anything other than content satisfaction!

if you do he will fall to his knees and sob, begging you to tell him what he did wrong and pray for forgiveness to his idea of a god (it's just you).

it's still him though.

every now and then, you'll catch a glimpse of something in the corner of your eye, maybe him pouncing on someone who looked at you too long or a roudy customer, and he'll freeze with the blood on his hands.

after a quick scolding and him staring at his feet like a kicked puppy, you'll get him to agree not to hurt anyone (but he did have his fingers crossed behind his back). what do you want from him? he has to make sure you're safe!

brings (and makes) you so many gifts!

since he can't use his voice much (and when he does, it's scratchy after so long of not being used), it's easiest for him to make and steal bring you gifts (you think anyone here is gonna sell something to a guy like him?) (you think he has money??)!

the making things I think is pretty canon.. just look at the flower he made!

but other than that, he'll often snag a bouquet and leave it at your doorstep, leave a note on your kitchen counter, or maybe a piece of gold jewelry that involves (you guessed it) some form of stars or red.

jester is a very inattentive partner.

and it's not that he doesn't want to be, necessarily. he just doesn't care to figure out how humans show they care for each other. plus, looking over the circus doesn't permit much time for such things, let alone any scraps of extra attention.

however, he can make time if he feels like it.

whenever he can, he will make a time frame where he can be with you. this mostly consists of talking- "how was your day"s and "has anything interesting happened?". if he's to say anything about his day, you'd be surprised by how talkative he can get! he overhears many things here... lots of gossip indeed!

to add onto that, a random headcanons of mine is that he is a sucker for a good rumor... he doesn't know anyone you're talking about, but it's entertaining to see how humans treat each other.

he has a fixation on your shoulders.

one he doesn't realize he has. in almost every interaction with him, his hands will end up on them, he'll keep a hand on one, or he'll trace his finger in mindless patterns on your shoulder blade. there's no real rhyme or reason to it. it just happens.

noses are cool too!

because he doens't have one

small, big, soft, sharp, narrow, not, all shapes and sizes! how fun!! he thinks they're all cool. likes to poke yours every now and then. regardless of how yours looks, he'll simply find it the cutest little thing.

when he is affectionate, he tends to be very quiet and professional, for lack of better words.

he doesn't like the desperate clinging like pierrot does or the intense friction like harlequin does. he likes to be effectiant and to the point. a supportive pat on the back or head, a kind word, things like that. a side hug if he's feeling extra lovely. so I guess he prefers to express his love through small gestures and words of affirmation (even if they can tend to come out as mocking or condescending).

does enjoy sharing a book.

I think we've all agreed he's a reader! reading is something he finds genuine satisfaction in. one of the things he's willing to do with you is shared reading. sometimes its reading two separate copies in the same room, sometimes it's you reading it to him as he rests his head on your shoulder or lap, and sometimes it's you sitting in his lap as he reads it to you. either way, reading!

Now how did you find yourself in this position? Oh, don’t joke with yourself. You know exactly how.

You just couldn’t help but be drawn in by the charming nature of that star-speckled pierrot- so kind and attentive. Who wouldn’t follow him into that freak show? For free?? In this economy??? No one passes up an opportunity like that. So no one can blame you. However, it gets harder to justify you and your actions when you see where you’ve ended up.  You sat tied down to the chair you’ve ended up in a few times already. For the same reason you were caught up in this mess, you couldn’t help coming back to his tent.  Since the first time, the restraints on your wrists held you down with more leeway; he gave you the option to move.  His words got bolder and sharper, less worried of pushing the bounds of his limits, and yet you felt safer here than you did anywhere else. Even with the mask, you felt a sharp and unwavering gaze, and yet you didn’t stall or shift. Even as he brought different tools to your skin, threatening to break it with every cold metal he pressed against it, you couldn’t will yourself to want anything more. He flicked the tip of the bright pink syringe in his hand and watched the excess liquid that threatened to spill splatter onto the table.  Though this time, he stared at it a moment longer before ultimately setting it down. A different approach than usual, he decided, was the best course of action. This would obviously draw out a cock of your brow. He looked back at you as he grabbed a scalpel and surgical skin marker, making small talk as any good doctor will with their patient.  “How many times have you been here now? Have you kept count?” -he’d start. “That seems like something you’d do.” “That’s.. not something I’ve kept track of, no.” was your answer.  “.. Hm.” was all he said for a moment.  “ ‘Must say I’m a bit disappointed.” he continued as he began to make his way over to you. Once he did, he popped off the lid of the marker with the edge of his claw as he spoke, leaning down to your level (or as low he could go without cramping up his neck). “I have.” He reached back behind your head and grabbed your hair in one hand as he exposed your neck and collarbone. Promptly, he lifted the marker and began making marks; he spoke while he worked. “Your skin is smooth-” he began as your eye twitched a little at the cold ink that bled onto your collarbone. “I wonder if I could make it sandpaper. Or I could just take off a few layers of it. Or maybe you wouldn’t mind a name carved into your neck.” he continued- the smile in his voice was so audible it almost annoyed you. Now, obviously he couldn’t do that to his patient. You were still technically under Pierrot’s watchful gaze. And he really didn’t want to deal with that clown right now. But for now, you didn’t have to know that. He brought the scalpel to the markings he had made and dragged the dull side along it, an action that sent a chill through you and sent your hair on its ends. He watched your reactions as he did this. He huffed out a quiet puff of amusement.  “I thought you’d be used to this by now.” “You have a knife to my throat.” you pointed out through wavering words. “That I do.” He shifted it on its side and pushed the sharp edge against your clavicle. The thinnest string of blood stung through the small cut he made. But he didn’t move the instrument just yet and continued to watch the wince in your expression, along with other minor things. Specifically the sound of your heart beating quicker, though you tried to calm it.  …… Oh, it was so cute. A little drum that gave away your every shift and fear to anyone who was willing to listen close enough. Of which, he was. After a long moment of silence and stillness from the both of you, a long moment that was filled only by the sounds of your now labored breathing and the prolonged “eye contact” the two of you never broke. And then he pulled the tool back. He let go of your hair and lazily tossed the hazard back over his shoulder onto the table where it clanked and clattered against the other metals. “But I don’t anymore.”

You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at his comment. You just knew he thought he was so clever for it. But of course there was no malice in it. He pressed the pad of his thumb against the cut that now laid in the center of your collar on display and hindered the bleeding. Though the claw that poked and pricked your skin as he did this drew more blood (on a much smaller scale). While he kept pressure on the fresh cut, he reached into one of his pockets and pulled out a (small and very obviously not big enough) bandaid that he lifted his grip off of you to open. With some difficulties caused by his big hands and claws. But he eventually succeeded and peeled the thin adhesive strip off, pressing it down horizontally to the cut as you kept your eyes on him working. Once it was in place, he sat up and finally picked the syringe back up, waving it around as if it were his hand and gesturing while he spoke. “Y’know, you really oughta keep an eye on the pierrot that follows you.” he paused to point the tip at you like a scolding finger. “Plus, it’d be fun to have an assistant in this place. You deal with adrenaline well… and y’know, you’re nice to be around and all that.” You offered a raised brow and teasing smile, not being able to stop the happiness you felt at the words from pulling a reaction from you. “You make a tempting offer, but…” you drug out. “Hmmmm……..” “I’ll definitely consider. You’re ‘nice to be around and all that’ too.” He would hum and nod at your response and make his way back over to you. He stuck the end of the needle against the skin between your brows and pierced the skin, though not enough to draw any more blood. “You say that..”

but overall, I'll say this:

he's controlling in every sense of the word.

what you post is monitored and controlled by him.

what you wear is specially chosen by velvette and has to be run by him.

what you eat is specialized by a nutritionist.

everything you do is carefully monitored by,

him.

he treats you more like a pet than anything.

"if you are to be seen with him, you have to look the part", for lack of better words.

but in return you do get to be with the most saught-after man in all of hell.

besides, even if I worded it as you being a pet pretty much, that's still not necessarily a bad thing.

at least it means he cares.

you're fed only the best, wear only the best, and are presented to the public as nothing but the best, so you're seen as fitting for the best. fitting for him.

and of course, being his pet, he has to show you off.

at every event, you're seated at his side with your hands folded in your lap and on your best behavior.

anything else earns you a night on the couch. you're equivalent of the dog house.

when he has his more humane moments, he can be very touchy.
