Today is my first proper day back at work, at my desk. I'm feeling restored and super ready to go... but I'm not going to lie... with the sun we're having at the moment, it's making it extremely hard to not want to just sit on the balcony or head out for another long walk by the coast! Does anyone else experience serious difficulty in motivation when the sun is out?! This is probably the most British problem in the world, isn't it 😂

Easter weekend somehow turned into a mini digital detox for me. I spent hours outside, walking and exploring, and almost none indoors at my desk. I feel so refreshed and calm! When was the last time you put your phone down and disconnected? Do it!

Something that can be challenging when putting together photoshoots, is find the model who fits your vision. Whether you're looking for a couple, a girl, a boy, or some one with a very specific look, it can be a challenge! But over the years, I've come up with ways of finding models (even in Cornwall, where we're 4h away from the nearest model agency!) Want to know my tips on finding models for your photoshoots? The past few days have been incredibly chilled out and relaxing. Although my parents have been to cornwall a few times, it's the first time that I can show them around and REALLY feel like I know the place well. (In fact, better than Tom sometimes it seems 😂) yesterday we walked from Mawnan Church to @theferryboathelford , one of my favourite walks of all time. Today, were heading north! Can you guess where?

For as long as I can remember, I've been a very active person. My body has been active and my mind has definitely been (over)active. You may have noticed that recently I've been mentioning back pain. This back pain has been around for 3 years or so, but never cause many problems... it was more of an occasional occurrence. Recently though, it's become bad. Really bad. Like, I have to stop working and lie down bad. Turns out, I've got functional scoliosis, which means that the muscle in one side of my back has been used too much, and is essentially frozen solid in one place. It's tight, solid, and refuses to loosen up... hence the pain. So when my physiotherapist told me that to heal it, I had to stop all hard exercise for a month at least, I had a mini internal panic. Exercise is such a huge part of my life... it's my release. What will I do? I will be calm, I will take this as a time to listen to my body, to stretch, and to heal! Thankfully I can still do gentle yoga, so I won't go totally insane! Oh, and I'm still allowed to take photos 😉obviously! Stay tuned for my updates on how I get on with.. doing nothing 😂

Happy Friday! It's a long weekend, and a particularly special one for me; my mum and dad are flying over from Switzerland to spend the weekend with me in Cornwall! I couldn't be more excited to spend time with them, and show them even more of the place I love. What have you got planned for your long weekend?

My friend @faithdwight tagged me in the #20factschallenge so it would be rude of me not to join in! 1. I was born and raised in Geneva, Switzerland, and moved to the UK when I was 18 to study at Falmouth University. 2. Despite being Swiss, I'm lactose intolerant so I can't even eat our national foods: cheese and chocolate. 3. When I finished uni, I was supposed to move back to Switzerland, but I met a boy and decided that it would be best to stay. 4. I'm still with the boy, loving him, and loving the UK! 5. I eat pancakes every morning. People think I'm crazy, but it takes me 10 minutes, and makes me happy for the rest of the day! 6. Having long hair is my life goal. 7. Horses are my favourite animals. I've been pony obsessed since before I could walk. 8. I have a horse of my own. He's 25 now, and retired, and lives in horsey retirement paradise with his friends. 9. I'm strangely flexible, and always have been. 10. Until I was 14, I wanted to be a vet. Then I realised that being a vet meant you'd have to put animals to sleep sometimes. 11. When I was 20, I founded a magazine alongside @meganbreukelman called @theatlasmagazine. 12. I'm bilingual in English + French. My family and I switch between the two languages without realising. It makes people very confused 13. I have a strange obsession with chequered shirts. 14. I first picked up a camera when I was 15, and taught myself how to work it manually thanks to the internet. I didn't tell anyone about my new hobby for about a year because I was embarrassed. 15. Thankfully I don't care what anyone thinks now! 16. I'm a massive introvert, and after I've been to a gathering of any kind, I need lots of time on my own to recharge. 17. I never thought I'd want to photograph weddings, or couples, but ever since I started, I've fallen more and more in love with it. 18. My favourite story in the whole world in Romeo and Juliet. 19. My first favourite band was NSYNC. I had a Justin Timberlake poster above my bed when I was 8. 20. I've technically got Italian blood in me (my grandad is 100% Italian) but my mum never spoke to me in Italian, so I can't speak it. If you're tagged, it's your turn!

Those blissful spring days, where I want to do nothing other than walk, and admire the beautiful big blue. I still pinch myself daily that I get to live so close to the sea. What was once just a childhood dream is now a full blown reality. Are you living out any of your childhood dreams?

Everyone does their make up differently, but I always notice that most people aim to achieve a really effortless look. You know what though? It's incredibly hard to achieve! Unless you're @makeupbyione. Ione is honestly one of the most talented people I've ever met (and she doesn't even know it!). If you're looking for an incredible make up artist to do your make up on your wedding day (or any other special occasion!) I can't recommend her enough :) PS. "Make time for yourself." The images from this series were taken during the recent @photographyfarm workshop. I'd never attended a workshop before, and I didn't really have a clue what to expect. It can feel strange investing so much time in yourself, in your own education. Sometimes doubt creeps in: "should I be spending my time and money on something else?" But the reality is, if we don't spend time investing in ourselves, in caring for ourselves, and in helping ourselves grow... who will? Oh and yes, these two were ADORABLE. More love like this in front of my camera, please!
