I have found this job on the next website and it looks really interesting, it is paid and a trainee programme so I do feel I would learn from it. It is asking for a 10 page portfolio and i am so unsure on what to include, i think i may add in my mother care and some pages from my final collection with the childrenswear development I have done and make the portfolio more dedicated towards childrenswear.
The description on this job actually sounds good, I like the idea of a trainee job as I don’t think I would feel confident in going into a job where they expect you to just go alone and not have a huge amount of guidance. I am going to apply for this but I need to do a portfolio of 10 pages, so I am going to work on this when I finish uni as I am not unsure what I am going to include.
Evaluation of PPP
This module has been me trying to figure out what I want to do when I finish uni and at the end of the project I am so unsure on what I want to do. I thought creating CVs, business cards, doing competitions and looking for jobs would push me but it really hasn’t. I am really happy with the work I have produced for this module and i do feel confident in taking this portfolio for the public and future employer to look at. When I am at GFW i am going to try and talk to as many people as I can in the industry to see what they look for in a future employer. In this module I have learnt that there is so much competition in this industry and really if you do get the work done and push yourself you can get to places, I am a hard working person with a good back log of experience and jobs to show that I am not afraid to get my hand dirty. I am very lucky to have had the opportunities to experience some time in the industry and working with many lovely people.
Summer Job
Last year I under took work experience with a brand called Les Animaux, after my placement i was asked to work for them over the summer from home sewing pieces for them. I did this over the summer of 2017, I role was stitching tulle and lace on garments ready to be sent to customers and stores. Lisa the owner of Les Animaux has asked me again to work for her of over the summer from home, I am going to do it again as I really enjoyed it last year. I get paid per garment that i sew.
I really like idea of being a studio assistant and organising. I am quite an organised person and I have good communication skills. This job does ask for a years experience but this job role does look quite exciting so I may apply, you never know they may interview me or not.
I have found this paid internship on fashion workie and the description actually sounds like something i want to do. In this internship you get to experience all the areas within the company. I think this would be really good for me as I am so unsure on what I want to. I really like the idea of working in many different areas of fashion. The only negative is that it is an internship but it is paid so at least it will properly cover my rent.

LookBook
I got the images printed off at boots 6x4 and i have created a front cover to credit all the photographers i have worked with. The outside of the lookbook is covered with fabrics from my final collection including orange cotton drill and spot cotton.
Mini Lookbook from Final Collection
Throughout my final collection I have had a few collaborations and shoots with my garments, instead of putting these in my portfolio I am going to create a mini lookbook just to showcase the images that will go along my portfolio and decorated to match my collection and portfolio.

Jobs
I have saved a few jobs on Linkedln and I think I may apply for some but i am so unsure on what i actually want to do.
Portfolio Sleeves
I have decided to use sleeves for my portfolio just for Graduate Fashion Week and the end of year show because I really don’t want to get the pages dirty. I will put fabric samples on to the sleeves and acetate sheets not in the sleeves.
Sticker Idea
I have had an idea to create some yellow stickers like you would find on discounted food. This would add a little bit humour and fun to my portfolio.
I have created a few designs but i am unsure on what to put on it, i quite like the 2nd one down with the student crossed out, this sticker also explains who i am and what i specialise in.
Mothercare nomination
This morning I received an email from Sam to say I had been nominated for the Mothercare Award. I just has to change a few spelling mistakes but other then that it was ok.
I had to send Sam the files separate as they are judged in sections, and need various boards at different points of judging.
Portfolio Insert Idea
I have had an idea to create inserts in my portfolio for my final collection, the inserts will include images from shoots where I have loaned my clothing out for photoshoots with various stylists and students.

Mothercare Award Final Boards
These are my final boards that I am sending to Sam ready for selection, I would really like to be selected to be put forward for the GFW awards. I was unsure on where to put the 300 words detailing my collection so I created a board for it but if I need to take it off and put it separate then i can do that.
Collabration with Ash-Lee
Ash-Lee approached me a few weeks to ask she she could use my jumpsuit from my final collection. The theme of the photoshoot was space and i jumpsuit would be perfect for it. The idea behind it is about the conspiracy behind a man landing on the moon and women would model to show women can do it too and sexism. I was really looking forward to this shoot as Ash-Lee’s style is so cool and always puts a spin on what she is doing. Today was the shoot and it went super well, model was excellent and fitted in the jumpsuit well.
