Whoever decided that the blue ranger in Power Rangers Turbo needed to be a literal child was actually insane.

It doesn't add anything to the story and frankly is just kinda weird when they morph.

The season would have been basically the same with a normal aged ranger.

from what i understand, it was because big bad beetleborgs (one of saban's other tokusatsu adaptations) was beating power rangers in ratings/viewership at that point. in beetleborgs the team were kids who morphed into adult-sized heroes, so they thought they could win back the audience they started to lose by having one of their rangers be a kid like the beetleborgs were
