The first official release off my upcoming project "a tape for Gil." which is set to drop on 5/28.

The project is based on my appreciation for Gil Scott-Heron's music, and as such represents the emotion and tone that was ever present in his music. Each track draws on samples from Gil's catalogue, and includes several audio clips of Gil's poetry, words and interviews.

Made with records, an MPC2000XL, and a MicroKorg.

Mixing down the iMPC tracks for "a tape for Gil." 3 of the 11 tracks on the project were created on the iPad, using the iMPC and Korg iMS-20 apps.
