Yesterday. The city has a vibe once it's been subjected to some amount of rain.

Sunday oh sunday

To say that I slept last night would be a lie. I lay awake in bed rotating slowly like a prisoner handed some strange punishment.

I could hear the house in my near state of sleep and that's how I stayed till it was 4:30 am when finally sleep somehow managed to shut my eyes. It was horrid. But what of it. I was awake at 6:30 again. And then I slept again till 9.

Maybe this is the reason why old people wake up early and start being a pain in the ass of everyone around them.

Am i cranky because of lack of sleep? Nope. I've fired up my laptop after ages and I am playing data manager with all the junk music I've collected over the years.

Someone has to manage all these audiobooks too.

Today then. The coffee was better than last time I had coffee here cuz I told the guy how I wanted the coffee.

Has to roam around the city a bit and waste some time.

In other news, I was sent a book a poems to review. And other than two poems, the rest of the poems in the book are AI generated. And it's a professor who wrote these poems. Didn't even bother to remove the — from the poems.

It's just so wrong.

These are supposedly organic.

Went out today. I don't know what happened while eating lunch outside that my mood took a dive. It was strange. I just didn't feel like conversing and wanted to get the hell out of that place.

I think I am breathing in more water vapour than oxygen. This should not be possible biologically but it sure feels like that.

On top of that, i don't feel like doing anything.

I had lunch and then i put my head down for ten minutes and woke up two hours later. Even then I just wanted to sleep some more.

I need something good to happen really quick.

This is the last time I am ordering something from Instagram ads.

Doesn't help that the ads are often precisely targeted and they know that I'll click one way or another.

Saw this cool looking tshirt seller website that had such insanely crazy and smooth prints. I thought why the hell not. I was still skeptical, so I chose their blind box tee that cost almost nothing. Cuz what's the harm if I lose 300₹ just to test out a website.

Right?

First off, they didn't ship the tee for several days.

Then I had to DM them and ask them where the shirt was. They took their sweet time to read and tell me that the blind box tee will be shipped tomorrow. Okay.

It took 6-7 days for the shipped tee to reach me cuz it was shipped from somewhere in the asshole of India.

I was expecting something not too horrendous.

Imagine my surprise when I open the box and it's a tee in RSS ORANGE. I could wear that tee to park and I'll scare off couples as soon as they see a hint of me looking their way. I could get an automatic membership of BJP if i wear that tee in public. It's so damn orange.

Sigh. Never again.

I woke up with a headache today. Which is rare. So rare that I don't remember the last time I had a headache. It was a pulsing little bead of pain on the left side of my skull and it was atrocious. Luckily, it passed after breakfast and a coffee. But damn.

And yes, the days are hotter than hot here. It's a burning world out there and the less I see the sun, the better.

I've just been drinking lemon water and hydrating like a thirsty plant.

And writing. A lot. Longhand this time because writing on the screen isn't the same. The chapters are flying.

Saw this father and son dressed weirdly and alike from head to toe. Even the shoes. Why do people do this.

And just like that june is about to be over and I have no idea where the days went. It's like a black hole opened up in the beginning of June and it landed me here in the last few days by throwing me through a puddle of non space and non time. Just yesterday i was getting my bathrooms fixed and now I'm sitting here.

Huh. Strange.

I had vivid dreams last night. So vivid that i could not wake up in the morning when the maid rang the doorbell.

Today's plan, go outside, find a good coffee and something to eat.

Onwards!

This platter was fantastic!

Roaming around CP today with no agenda. Ate lunch at Social which was surprisingly good. Had an affogato at a coffee place. All in all, a day full of food and walking. And 3-4 auto rides. Got hassled by a kinner and had to part with 100₹ that was somehow in my hand at that moment.

It's a bit of a shock coming to Delhi after so much time. People here are rude. They don't follow traffic rules. Everyone stop RIGHT ON TOP of the zebra crossing at red lights. It's a free for all, no road is one way. One tends to forget such things when living in a city that's forced to be disciplined.

I had to cross a road and it took me a few seconds to remember ways to cross roads in this city.

I'm glad to be heading back.

From Monday.

This was when I was on way back to base.

As plans go, I'm back on the move. This time to the capital for a family task. It feels strange to go there for a "legit" purpose. Also, I understand that thing where criminals visit the location of the crime after they've committed the crime. That perverse thrill.

My mind is getting excited and I've to keep telling myself that this is not a trip for fun.

My list of places to visit is short. The Lamy Boutique and the G-Shock showroom.

There are a lot of comforts in life but few things compare to sitting in your own chair in your own room after a long journey of staying put in a car.

Right. Back in the mix and back on the grind.
