“My full name’s Spencer Graciella Hunt, but I suppose only my first name is necessary. As for my forum name, it’s doodlebird. I’m here to see my darling Rosie Daly, and I came all the way from Arizona to do just that!”
how was the trip getting here? any stories to share?
She sighed heavily, looking off to the side a bit. “In a word? Breathtaking. I never get tired of seeing the open road, so my roommates and I decided to make a trip out of the whole ‘moving out for a year’ thing. About six months ago, we pooled our money so we could buy ourselves a Volkswagen bus solely for travelling as a family. Bringing me out here was our longest trip to date, actually.” Bringing her hand up to her face, she wiped away the nostalgic tears pricking at her eyes. “It was only supposed to take a thirty-two or so hours, but we swung by so many darling small towns and monuments that getting here nearly took us a week.”
what did the people in your life back home say when you told them that you’re coming here for a year? do you think you’ll last the whole year?
“Obviously, they were thrilled! We wouldn’t’ve gone on our impromptu roadtrip otherwise.” She lit up at the following question. “I get to stay in this gorgeous house and finally meet my sweetheart. If I don’t stay for a year, it’ll be because somebody close to me was abducted by aliens or something. Or like, I was offered a spot on one of those cross-country or international travel shows.”
is there anything about this experience you’re afraid of? looking forward to?
“I thought about this a lot on the way here, and if there’s one thing I’m really scared of, probably irrationally - it’s developing one of those weird worship-y fanbases, since this is being filmed for the masses. Like, I was born in Portland, went to college in New York, then I dropped out and did some travelling before moving to Phoenix. That doesn’t exactly scream ‘superstar’.” She laughed, mostly to herself. “But, I’m definitely looking forward to exploring town! I think it’s obvious why.”
we’re about 10 minutes away from the mansion. how are you feeling? what’s going through your head right now?
“A little hesitant, 'cause of the cameras and such. Outside of that I just feel really flustered. I don’t know exactly what else to expect besides what you’ve told me, so I think the fear of the unknown is what’s getting to me.”
do you think rosie is hiding anything from you? is there anything that could be a deal breaker for you?
Spencer snorted. “I mean, if you know something I don’t, then probably not. The only deal breaker for me would be if she did something seriously heinous to me or somebody else in the house. That’s really it.”
are you hiding anything from them? are you worried?
“I mean, yeah, but nothing serious. We’ve all got little things we’re always going to keep to ourselves. If I were to tell her, she would be more intrigued than anything else. So, no worries here.”
are you ready to live with 40-something other people in one house?
“Yeah, I’m down! Living in Spain really got me accustomed to the full house lifestyle. I guess going to college got me acclimated to it as well, but not quite the way the hostel did. I’m just glad we’re not all sharing a bathroom.”
