The sole purpose of a best friend is to help you with Instagram captions and make sure you never make a restroom trip by yourself. Huh? I guess I can see it. But then you say something and they realize how wrong they are, right? 

It’s not too much at all!! I can definitely do a rainbow bracelet. I don’t know what I want mine to be! I can’t decide between pastel colors or darker colors. You pick. Surprise me. I’ll love it either way. I think we should do both. The Claire’s bracelets for formal occasions and the homemade ones on a daily basis. Or that! We could find really bright bracelets. I love this idea. It’s like trying on prom dresses but like, more expensive. The missing accent definitely gives it away. They’re always like “Aren’t you the girl from Lady Bird?” And I always have to break their hearts. “No, I’m not as talented. But I’m flattered,” is usually my response.

I was! That’s what I’m saying, it’s possible to have fun by yourself. You don’t need to be bored all the time. They shouldn’t believe you’re the character you play because you’re not that character. Maybe your friends and my members can make some sort of support group to just talk about how much we annoy them to get it off of their chest since they’ll never say it to our faces. Right? The waiting makes me think I’ve done something wrong, but I just forget they’re just as busy as I am. Definitely not that bad, we could get so much done. I mean, that’s a start! If you think you’re fast learner, I can go ahead and start teaching you some moves you’ll have to know if you’re gonna be stuck with me. I’ll even be your personal Chinese teacher – I’m clearly the best, even if people say otherwise. 

An Annoying Friend Support Group. Love that idea. Sometimes when I don’t hear back from my friends, I’ll text another friend and ask if they’re mad at me. I know it’s totally irrational but I get so anxious about it! I’m sorry but I just love them so much and if I even think about them being upset with me it makes me so sad. Teach me all the moves, I’ll practice everyday. I’ll be the best student you’ve ever had. You can brag that you have the most amazing student.

I can definitely relate to this, especially working on a show I miss people if I get time off or when we wrap for the season, or people I’m in movies with a lot, but I also get really itchy about needing alone time too. I feel like sometimes seeing the same people all day every day is basically a psychological experiment in finding what’s the craziest, most inconsequential thing that can set you off - so, breaks are good. But do I miss you? Of course I do, you were my favorite costar ever.

Oh yes, I know exactly what you mean about alone time. However, for me it’s less about being alone and more about being quiet. I need quiet time and I need it quite frequently if I’m going to survive the day. Like if you want to sit in the same room but we don’t talk for an hour, that’s perfect. Stop, oh my god, you’re making me blush. I miss you! It’s been too long, I’m all grown now. How are you?

Kiernan Shipka’s photoshoot for ‘L’Officiel Paris’ : Even though it is technically a simple shoot with nice styling and interesting shots, I still think it’s worth appreciating for what it is. I do like the bright color palette that compliments Kiernan’s own happy media image, though. That was a good decision.

I would definitely have to agree with you on that. Oh you have? That’s very kind of you to say, thank you. Hearing things like that always brings a smile to my face. It wouldn’t be the first time I’ve received weird looks in a bathroom setting. I’ve had to take my two eldest daughters with me into the men’s bathroom a couple times on outings and it made for some interesting situations. Some guys just can’t handle things like that, which is quite a shame.

I don’t think it’s weird to bring your daughters into the men’s room unless they’re like, over the age of 9, then I guess that is a bit weird. It’s not just some guys, though, women also have very conservative thoughts when it comes to unisex bathrooms. It’s a thing. But anyways, how is Iceland going for you so far? Have you done anything big and exciting?
