Falling (Event Drabble, Pt.1/?)

A quick bit of literature to get the creative juices flowin'

Falling.

A flash, a stinging, a tug... and then he was falling.

That's the first thing he registered as he came to. Cupidity looked around, seeing nothing but darkness, feeling wind whip past him as he kept falling.

He reached down, inspecting the puncture wound in his abdomen, the torn fabric from his jacket, where He had hooked him, and he kept falling.

Stinging... Fibers from his own being moved to seal the wound, closing it up quickly, and he kept falling.

He was falling.

Falling...

...!

He was falling! Cupidity spread his arms out, trying to reach out and grab hold of something- anything- to try and slow his fall, but he grasped at empty air, and he continued falling.

He began rolling in the air, trying to find his center of gravity. He had to have been falling, he felt something tug at him, someone pulling him in. Into what, he wasn't sure, but he had kept falling.

Falling.

Falling...?

Was this falling? Cupidity knew he wasn't on the ground, but does it count as "falling" if he never hits a floor? A thought comes to mind, one that suggests that perhaps, Cupidity wouldn't stop falling. In that case, was he really still falling?

Perhaps not... no, he wasn't falling. Perhaps...

... he was flying?

...

And so he was.

So, turns out it was kind've a biggie.

Got myself Pekchnapped for a while.

Made eggs though, I think that made 'em happy.

But I don't think the others appreciate it... none of them can fly a Meteor, after all.

Remember Rosetta? That comet-chasing European Space Agency (ESA) probe that deployed (and accidentally bounced) its lander Philae on the surface of Comet 67P? This GIF is made up of images Rosetta beamed back to Earth, which have been freely available online for a while. But it took Twitter user landru79 processing and assembling them into this short, looped clip to reveal the drama they contained.
