MY GOD!!!! SVU….
So isn’t reblogging this just warning pedos?
Yeah, kinda. So they won’t ‘BE’ pedos anymore, in a sense.
Hey, if this post gets pedophiles nervous and decreases their demand for child porn, I don’t see this as a bad thing. Less demand means fewer children get trafficked in the first place.
This is kinda cool
New York lawmakers on Thursday called to end non-medical exemptions to vaccinations for school-aged children amid an ongoing measles outbreak.
The proposed legislation is backed by a group of Democratic lawmakers who say they want to close the “personal belief loophole” which advocates for religious vaccine exemptions, The Journal News reported.
Investigators with the state Fire Marshal's Office and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are on the scene of a church fire in St. Landry Parish. It's
How is this not national news?
This is one of the most positive millennial threads I’ve ever seen
Wait…. People really out here with FOUR emails??? Bitch!! I barely care about one!!!
Constant gen x erasure, it gets to a point where it’s depressing and alienating. We’re not boomers, but we remember both handsets and modems. We’re not millennials, but we have the same financial despairs. Just ghosts in the grinder.
Thank you! According to social media, the entire population is either under 35 or over 55. I can remember my family getting its first ever computer, but that doesn’t mean I can be “scammed with simple emails asking for money or offering love.” GTFO with that. The constant Millennials vs Boomers! conversation is irritating.
I’m acutely aware of how bad it is for millennials today - because we got there first. We started the modern era of living paycheck to paycheck, because the boomers still had all the good jobs and affordable homes, but for us, it was stigmatising. Live at home? No, live in apartments you can barely afford, hoping nothing bad happens, then spending your twenties in that Bush era recession and knowing it’ll never get better. I’ve never owned a home. Might never in my life.
The millennials need jobs and are pushing, rightfully, on the boomers who took ours, but where do we go?
We began with typewriters in grade school and moved to computers junior high, but we’re unnoticed in tech and geek spaces.
We’re told to get out of fan spaces because we’re too old - but we created the BBS boards and email circles, and the escapism is sometimes all we have when we don’t have homes or a way up. We’re not wanted there, either.
It’s worse, for millennials, so much worse, and they’re fighting to change that. I’m so proud of them. We were beaten down, and all I want is to not be forgotten.
But most days, it seems like that’s all we’ll get.
THIS.
Don’t tell us we don’t belong in or understand these spaces. We invented them. And some of us are STILL waiting for Baby Boomers to retire so there will be a job…
Sulwe (2019)
From Academy Award–winning actress Lupita Nyong’o comes a powerful, moving picture book about colorism, self-esteem, and learning that true beauty comes from within.
Sulwe has skin the color of midnight. She is darker than everyone in her family. She is darker than anyone in her school. Sulwe just wants to be beautiful and bright, like her mother and sister. Then a magical journey in the night sky opens her eyes and changes everything.
In this stunning debut picture book, actress Lupita Nyong’o creates a whimsical and heartwarming story to inspire children to see their own unique beauty.

An officer-involved shooting is being investigated by the...
There is something rotten happening in Georgia right now, and almost no one is talking about it. Early Sunday morning, an Atlanta activist/organizer, Oscar Cain, was gunned down by Atlanta PD. They claim he had a weapon, which is suspicious on its on, but how in the world do you kill an activist against police brutality as he’s running away? On top of that, no one knows about it until almost a week later?! My heart is breaking right now for his friends in the Atlanta Black Lives Matter movement who are reeling at this loss. This is the 26th officer-involved shooting investigation of 2019, marking Georgia as one of the deadliest places for civilians being killed by police. Please help support memorial efforts by donating via CashApp @ $StandForOscar. We demand justice for Oscar Cain!
