There are SOOO many resources out there that will help alleviate your depression and anxiety! I’ve lost hope many times in my journey, but I promise, there is hope and your light at the end of the tunnel is attainable.
I know it’s hard to keep going some days, but you’re not alone. There is a whole community of people going through similar things that you are. Please reach out and utilize your resources. There are so many ways to find help.
If it’s the last thing you do, please reach out to someone.

In therapy, you might hear the phrase “reframe your cognitive distortions”. In simpler terms, it means redirect your negative thoughts.
I have seen many therapist and even been in a rehab facility for 2 months and I thought this wasn’t important. I have come to find this is one of the most effective ways to relieve depression and anxiety.
Changing the way you think is hard. You can’t control your thoughts, but you can control what happens after. It’s painstaking work to do this every time you need to. I have to do this probably every 5 minutes!
But, it is worth it. Try it out and you might be pleasantly surprised.

Mental Illness makes you feel so insecure about relationships with friends. You wonder if they will leave you. You wonder if they really like you. You wonder if you’re a burden to them.
Don’t let anxiety and depression win. You are loved. You are valuable. You are wanted. You are not a burden or mistake.
If you’re having these thoughts, CHALLENGE THEM. That is the shitty committee in your mind talking. Shut. Them. Up. You are loved and highly favored.

There is hope. Please reach out. I understand the feeling of not wanting to talk to someone when in crisis, but I’ve found that the Trevor Project is really great. You’re never alone. Don’t listen to that voice that says you are. Be strong and ask for help.
