Before her father had even turned the engine over in the tow truck, Faith had a fresh pot of coffee brewing, and was taking the stairs two at a time when her phone buzzes. Without skipping a beat, she has it out and open, reading the glowing message from Sammy with an ever brightening smile upon her face.
[Text: Sammy] Wicked! Can’t wait! Maybe we could go see that Pulp Fiction movie?
[Text: Sammy] Dude- just reminded me! We’re supposed to play out again! If u stick around long enough, u can come this time
Excited at the prospect of Uncle John finally bringing Sammy back to Sioux Falls, and Dean arriving at, well, some point today, Faith is damn near glowing as she flies about upstairs getting ready. It was a bit of a challenge trying to look nice, without looking like she was putting too much of an effort into it. She gets cleaned up and decides to use the sweet vanilla scented lotion she had laying around because it was way less in-your-face then perfume, and to be honest, it wasn’t like she had bottles of the crap all over the place anyway. Faith pulls on a pair of low slung, bootcut jeans with a few slashes here and there in the denim. The faded material hugging in all the right places is paired with her lace up black boots, and a body skimming red cropped t-shirt with a faded logo from some car company and a flannel tossed open over it.
A thin, simple black ribbon choker, cherry lip gloss and a bit of eyeliner and Faith’s done, satisfied that she’s pulled off the look she was going for. She runs her fingers through her loose, billowy waves one last time before re-pocketing her phone and heading back downstairs. There was a heater in the garage, but Faith wondered if she should pull out a jacket if she was going to least go through the motions of working on her car.
That’s when it hit her that she was nervous! Actually nervous about Dean’s arrival. What if he changed his mind? No. Shaking her head, Faith refuses to go there, instead puttering around straightening up and singing quietly to herself. For once, everything was working out the way it was supposed to be. Even going to school on Monday didn’t phase her. No. Everything was going to be AWESOME!
Diana sighed softly and went back to reading her book. It was a compendium on folklore and myths centralised to this part of the country. America was not unique to having Hellmouths, but they seemed to either kick up a bigger fuss over such occurrences or ignore them completely and write them off as something else all together. So far, Diana had found references to Devil’s Gates which seemed remarkably similar to Hellmouths, only they seemed to infer the Christian Hell, as opposed to a gateway to an infinite number of Hell dimensions, like a Hellmouth.
It was actually rather interesting. It made her wonder what these so-call Hunters might know, and what knowledge they could share with the Watcher’s Council if only the Council wasn’t governed by such a closed minded bunch of pompous idiots. When the Men of Letters formed in England, the Council had renounced them, calling them a bunch of ill-bred, wanna-be Watchers.
A potential Slayer, being raised by one of these hunters, might have skills and knowledge beyond anything the Watcher’s Council has ever seen before. Diana considered to herself as what could only be Robert Singer in his tow truck appeared in the distance coming towards her.

[text]: Sounds like a plan. We can make plans when we get there + dad says how long we have.
[text]: Would be nice to go see a movie again.
Sam slumped back in his seat as John pulled out of the parking lot, wishing he was already there. Travelling sucked.
Dean finally pulled up at the end of the drive, his heart pounding madly. What if Bobby knew? What if something went wrong?
Just play it casual, he told himself firmly. Bobby has no reason to think anything’s wrong or different... maybe play up the angle of Dad making you go solo and he won’t ask further.
With that he rolled up the drive and frowned as he parked outside. The tow truck was gone. Was Bobby out on a legit job? Had he taken Faith along?
Parking out of the way, he fidgeted with bhis phone before shooting Faith a message.
[text]: You out? No tow truck at the yard.
He wasn’t sure what else to do, but at least he (hoepfully) wouldn’t get yelled at for showing up unannounced.
It was just as well for this lady that Bobby knew the roads around here like the back of his hand. He’d been as quick as he could, and now the described car was coming into sight by the roadside.
Pulling up, he surveyed the situation as he climbed out. Looked reasonably well-dressed, though clearly not a local, and had forethought enough to bring reading material along. He wasn’t 100% sure he liked the vibe she was giving off, but he wasn’t going to start anything. She wasn’t an outright threat, anyway.
“Ma’am,” he said as he approached. “Bobby Singer. Sheriff called me in for a breakdown?”
