Yunwoo Choi, From the Beginning, (2011).
Born in 1986, GRAFFMATT is a French artist who hails from Chambéry, in Savoy. Passionate about street art and Hip-Hop culture, GRAFFMATT explores many artistic fields and different media with the urban scene always being his main source of inspiration. He is also inspired by street fashion, designated under the name of street style fashion trend. Even if his preference goes more to the model than to the style of dress, GRAFFMATT focuses on authenticity, like a candid shot, with no devices other than the natural appearance and outside light.
ARTIST ON TUMBLR
Oscar S.Cesteros
He started in nineties with handmade drawings, but he abandoned in 1996 to work as web designer, computer engineer or electronic artist (as Álex Nei). In 2011 he decided to return to handmade drawing and working again as postdigital artist. He uses ball-point pen, pencils and ink. He works in different series as Vitae Sanctorum, Artificial Tree, Geometrics or Artificial Life.
Pencils, ball-point pens (BIC,of course), Rotring Isograph,… nothing else. They are my drawing tools. When I work on a new drawing I never make any sketchs, I love to work in blank paper, and trace the first line, free without any conditions. Then, the idea grows up, and the theme is born in my mind, more lines and I shape the form.
Less is more, but the lines sometimes fill the paper, and more is less. It is a kind of baroque. In my opinion, a lot of my drawings are more baroque than classic, more even than romantic.

opens Wed, Jan 14, 6-8p: “More paintings about poets and food” Djordje Ozbolt Hauser & Wirth Gallery, 32 East 69th St., NYC new paintings, sculptures, and drawings by Belgrade-born, London-based artist Djordje Ozbolt. Collapsing the narratives of his paintings and sculptures into solitary images, Ozbolt creates mysterious and often macabre imagery that persistently conflates traditional European genres – of portraiture, still life, landscape, and history painting – with motifs sourced from Christianity, African and Asian art. - thru Feb 21 pictured: Djordje Ozbolt, Poet Smoking, 2014, Acrylic on board
