Thinking abt the time signature in ac/dc. And how I think it works so well to highlight Electra as "different" and "other", considering how ac/dc comes directly after Freight, a song where the plodding, 4/4 rhythm is so important that in every single production, someone has been stomping their feet or drumming to it. and then immediately followed up by the strange and new electric engine, whose music entirely breaks the mold, feeling like 4/4 for one bar until the next one drops a beat and makes everything off kilter and unsettled, just like how Electra disrupts the maintained status quo in the yard and challenges Greaseball. follow for more basic level music theory analysis
