This blog isnāt dead, just havenāt had the best few years. Itās been pretty rough. That will change, so donāt delete me!
Tonight! Weāve been studying the Holy Books. Come hang out!

Have you considered delving into Kundalini yoga? Crowley practiced it and based some of his meditations on it. Yogo Bhajan is the man credited with bringing it to America and making it accessible, but there is plenty of history before that as well
No, I havenāt! I do some basic yoga, but havenāt yet delved into anything specific. I will definitely read into it, though!

Melita Denning and Obsorne Phillips for the Ogdoadic tradition, Julius Evolaās Introduction to Magic for a very different perspective.
Awesome! Thanks!
Crowley seemed to prophesy the madness weāre dealing with today from the Right-WingĀ āChristiansā against the LGBT community, especially regarding the trans bathroom issue.
If you think about it, there were no Christians during the Old Testament era, so those who want to consistently quote OT law, while completely disregarding the New Covenant, are falsely claiming to be Christians. The New Covenant was made to free people from the old laws. They are not applicable in modern society. Those who quote them donāt even understand their context.
Nature is very fickle and anomalous, so some of us are going to come into the world who donāt fit the common cisgender, heterosexual mold. I see people trying to use the chromosome argument against trans identity, but that doesnāt work at all. Chromosomes arenāt definitive of anything. Theyāre just a blueprint. I was born intersex (XXY), assigned male at birth, but identify and live my life as female. God, if only it were all just a matter of choice, cos we wouldnāt be in this mess.
I think orthodox Christianity needs to reconnect to its Gnostic roots.
Jesus said to them, "When you make the two into one, and when you make the inner like the outer and the outer like the inner, and the upper like the lower, and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye, a hand in place of a hand, a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then you will enter [the kingdom]." ā Gnostic Gospel of Thomas
My room mate has the entire Equinox collection in hardcover, and itās old and fragile. I wonder how much itās worth in that condition.
So, I havenāt been studying anything for several months now, but Iām starting to feel the need. Iām sad that I had to sell my Liber ABA, but I had to feed myself.
Iām thinking of either delving into the Equinox or immersing myself in Qabalah since I still have a ton to learn on the subject.
I wouldnāt consider myself a practitioner of magick ā not yet, anyway. Iām just a philosopher and a scholar of the mysteries.Ā
My room mate and I have been discussing putting together an online school for basic teachings in various studies like the basics of Hermeticism, Qabalah, Thelema 101 (covering both Aā“Aā“ and OTO), and so on. Once I know exactly what the plan is Iāll update you here.
Anyway, do any of you have any book recommendations? I already own a ton of Dion Fortune, Aleister Crowley, Israel Regardie, and Mme Blavatsky. Any other authors I should be reading?
I picked up this hardcover copy of the Holy Books for $25 at Scarlet Woman Lodge in Austin. I think you can buy it online, though. Itās a great copy to have and carry around so you can keep your out-of-print copies safe.
If youāre in the Houston area, you should come hang out with us. If youāre interested send me a PM. Next meetup is March 6th. Lately, weāve been studying the Holy Books.
Iām sorry about asking for money on here. I know that has to be annoying on an occult blog. I never did get anything, nor did I really expect it. I wonāt ask anymore, though. I promise.
So, I just got some Focalin 20mg XR (dexmethylphenidate) which is basically a stronger version of Ritalin (methylphenidate). I've taken Adderall previously, and here's what I've noticed in differences:
Ritalin and Adderall seem to work very similarly in inhibiting the reuptake of dopamine and norepinephrine, making it much easier for me to focus and maintain my attention, but it seems that Adderall actually stimulates dopamine production. Adderall (30mg XR) seems to increase my interest in what I'm doing while Ritalin simply maintains it.
Both do a superb job, though. I was put on Strattera initially, and it was awful. It didn't do anything for me, and it just made me feel like crap. I wish I didn't have to take anything at all, but it is what it is.
Have any of your own stories?
Once again, Iāve neglected this blog for a long while. Sorry about that. Life has been hectic. I lost my disability income for a couple months, and Iāve been moving around a lot. Itās frustrating and sometimes debilitating. I have no vehicle, my income is shoddy, Iām essentially homeless, and I have no idea what Iām going to do next. I remain positive, though. In all of my struggles there has always been some kind of synchronicity in opportunity. I trust in that cosmic force always, and it never fails me. I may not get all that I want, but I get just enough to keep going, and thatās better than nothing.
Also, hello to any new followers. Sorry about the lack of content and presence. Iām just trying to get my life in order. I havenāt even been studying anything in the past several months. I havenāt had the focus. Iāve been rather dispassionate, but thatās slowly improving. Plus, Iāve learned that I have Borderline Personality Disorder which is both clarifying and depressing, but Iāve never been one to give up. I may have teetered on the brink, but I never give up.
Anyway, I hope youāre all well, and I will definitely be back here sooner than later. :)

⬠Whatās wrong with the world? ā¬
Well, that's a loaded question, and it can be answered in so many different ways. As old as the human race is, it's still very young and primitive in the grandness of the universe(s). We're still very much like children, and we have some serious cosmic abandonment issues. So, we find ways to reconcile it, to make sense of it, and we get it wrong a lot.
Because we're an intelligent species with greater self-awareness we get easily trapped in our collective ego, and we make decisions and choices based on the idea that we're alone in the universe. The greater the ego, the greater the need to conquer and maintain control, and that leads to error after error.
The ego isn't interested in change, or learning, or evolving. It regurgitates the same things over and over, because that's where it feels comfort. Humanity has to face that ego, and master it, and rise above it. That's when we'll be ready to move forward. I know it seems futile, and that we're never going to get out of this mess, but it will happen in time. Maybe not our lifetime, but it will evolve.
That's why none of us can give up, or be complacent, and acquiesce to the notion of "that's just the way it is". We have to be the torch-bearers and the "lightworkers" (to use a new age-y term), and carve the path for those who will come after us. We have to do the hard work to make it easier for future generations. It's our responsibility. It's our duty to our species. We have to take care of ourselves, but we have to be altruistic in all that we do.
The reason so many things are stirred up today is because we are on the cusp of something; some inevitable shift in consciousness. The old order is desperately clawing at the brim of a widening chasm, and that's stirring up this current chaos, but soon that chasm will be too wide and they will fall in as a new order begins to emerge.
People call "the end times" an apocalypse because the word means "to uncover, to reveal". That revealing is something that happens within. The world will, in time, become conscious and awake in ways it hasn't been since beyond antiquity, and each time we come full circle we can only become even more "awake" than before.
But what will we do with it? That's the important question, and we need to ask ourselves even now. Do we despair and curl away into false security, or do we take upon that duty and do that Great Work? No matter how dystopian things can seem, we must always take up our torches, even if it kills us.
Quote graphic I made with my photo of my friend Lisa. :)
I had to sell my Liber ABA last month to eat along with several other core books. :( I hate being poor.
