sorry about the small disappearance! i’ve been busy with work but now that i have a few days of rest i’m back and ready to churn out some creative juices. to everyone that liked my post that i haven’t gotten to yet, i didn’t forget about you! i’ll be in your ims shortly! and to everyone i haven’t replied to, please forgive me T__T i’m coming, i promise!!! 

also idk if anyone would be interested, but i’ve been thinking about posting some poetry for olympia bc i’ve got stacks of it just going to waste that i’m never going to do anything with,, is that acceptable? will you guys like reading it? idk lmk... lol O___o

late afternoon slowly eased its way into the early hours of the evening—pinks and oranges bleeding into strokes of red, bleeding into smears of blues, similar to the way her impatience bled into her current state. she, typically, was out of the office before five due to 1. her impeccable work ethic (this is a lie) and 2. because she wanted to be (read: her therapist advised it would be best for her stress disorder), but yet? the silver hour hand on her watch rested just past six; too late for the subway, too late for a bus, and right on time to witness her dig her fingernails into her eye sockets to produce her sight as an offering to the gods in hopes of good luck. by process of elimination, a taxi was her last option. 

agitation stitched the nerves in her shoulders together like a laced corset; arm outstretched as a plea for this one single thing to go right for her today. cue one car, two hands (one not being her own), and aggressive, cartoon-esque question marks protruding from her head while eyes brimmed to full with detest laid sight on the tunnel-visioned idiot who was trying to swipe her taxi. in retrospect, she should have seen that coming. boohoo, woe is me!

another day, another stream. not that damon was complaining. he loved streaming for his watchers and he found himself his happiest when he could. even if it was for an hour or two. however, his most popular streams are the ones where he has a guest with him. he assumed it was because everyone enjoyed watching him physically play with someone next to him instead of being alone or that his guests were more entertaining than he was. he wouldn’t blame his viewers for thinking that at all. it was funnier when his guests had no knowledge on video games at all and their reactions made the stream ten times more enjoyable than his regular ones. regardless of the reason he made sure to keep it as a weekly thing to have at least one guest on one stream. lucky for olympia it was her special day. she wasn’t much of a gamer and she actually had such a cold expression most times so he thought she would be the perfect victim to introduce to his viewers. it did take a bit on convincing but he ultimately managed to get a yes from her which is why she’s sitting next to him for tonight’s stream. damon made sure to check his setup before getting ready to start, from the lighting to the camera angle to the computer settings. with his final check-ups he glances towards his guest and gives her a thumbs up. “ready to start? i bet you’re gonna get some fans today, olymps.”

unfortunately, for damon and herself, the situation was too far gone for her to back out now (even though she was fully convinced that he would be better off with her sitting on the sidelines,) so, instead, she made eye contact with the blinking-neon power button on the tower, imagining how nice it would be to melt shit with her eyes. 

tension emitting from the frigid position she was sitting in hung in the air — heavy and suffocating. it wasn’t that she felt bad for him for having to deal with her cold, borderline aggressive disposition, because she didn’t. it was his idea in the first place, this was merely the consequence of his actions. in truth, she felt worse for herself than him for even allowing herself to be put in this position in the first place. the power button blinking back at her mocked her with a dance of impending suffering. 

“shut up.” eyes trained onto the image of herself in the monitor, she took a quick moment to straighten her bangs; ignoring the bubbles of nervousness bouncing against each other in her abdomen. i never should’ve agreed to this. “i’m ready.”
