I've made a new resolution. A new goal for the year. The number one part ot keeping a goal is making sure that everyone is awre of it so that you are shamed into keeping it. What I MEAN IS, IT'S A LOT EASIER TO KEEP TRACK OF A GOAL WHEN YOU HAVE AN OBLIGATION TO FULFUILL, EVEN IF IT REALLY JUST IS IN YOUR HEAD. I HAVE NO DOUBTS THAT NOBODY REALLY ARES THAT MUCH ABOUT THIS BUT ME, BUT THE PUBLIC SHAME IS WHAT KEEPS ME GOING. THANKS GUYS! (sorry caps lock is on and I only have two min til midnight to post!) Since I don't like wasting things I've decided to continue posting on this TUMBLR. As Madonna says, "I'm gonna keep my baby/ooh yeahhh/papa don't preach" New resolutions coming tomorrow!
Last working day of the year proved to be long and hard, just like any other day. Here's to next year. 363/365

I am officially sick of this year. Good timing though, right?

Trying on clothes at the shops on 3rd Street Promenade tonight reaffirmed my decision to make fitness related resolutions for next year. Sad face. 361/365

Over Christmas weekend I spent a lot of time watching movies with my sister and every night fell asleep during a movie at around 10 or 11. My sister, on the other hand, stayed up to about 3 am. This was a good reminder of how old I am.
It was also weird for me to realize that she was in 11th grade this year. Next year she will be a senior and then will go to college after that. She doesn't even seem that old yet. It's craziness to expect that in two years she could be living on her own(ish).
This weekend we also watched some home movies that dad brought out. There were a few of her at 3 years old and 5 years old. When I think back about how different she was then, how annoying she was then and how her personality has developed these past 16 years, I can understand why people have and raise children. It's such a great adventure for people to share with each other. You never know what you're going to get, it's a combination of nature and nurture but what part of them is science and what part is external forces?
Sure raising kids means suffering for several years while they make a mess of your home, lifestyle and finances but that's not the fun part. The fun part is laughing at their stupidity (babies crying over some trivial reason always makes me laugh) then being surprised by what they learn and when they learn it. the fun part is seeing what happens when they decide what they like and what they don't like. What their sense of humor is like, what hobbies they pick up, what their opinions are on things.
I'm not saying I want babies or anything for myself, but now I can understand why some people would be into that.

Christmas eve cookies feature 5 different varieties: chocolate chip with oats, chocolate chip oats with cinnamon, chocolate chip oat with cinnamon and Fleur de sel, and all that plus raisins. The recipe called for toffee, which I was too sick to go out and buy, so we improvised. 356/365

For the first time (since I started making Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner), I have no menu planned. I have no ingredients. I am also sick. There may not even be a "Christmas dinner" this year. 355/365

After determining that I cannot watch Twin Peaks at night anymore, I have decided to start watching all available episodes of 6teen (Wikipedia says it's Canadian, that explains why I "like it" so much) on Netflix. I'm in five episodes deep now.
Cartoons aimed at pre-teens are one of my guilty pleasures. Ask me anything about Kim Possible and I... might be able to give you the correct answer.

I'm watching the pilot of Twin Peaks. How does everyone already know she's dead?! Is this something that will be answered in the next episode or so? Am I going to have to Google this?! Arrghhh! 352/365

P and I saw Hugo in 3D tonight. I only go to 3D movies because of how great I look in those active 3D glasses. 349/365
