• freely - is about not worrying about tomorrow and dancing like you have no stress in the world. forgetting everything that makes you think and not having a single care for one night, and being free.
• sing me - is about asking people to remember and cherish your name as one can live forever through people’s memories. life may be temporary but if people remember you, you can be everlasting.
• i wish - is about wishing to be happy. wanting to look in the mirror and be content, wanting to feel worthy and not constantly compare yourself to others, wishing everyday, that you were happy with yourself.
• all alone - is about wanting to have someone, anyone. a person who tells you that “you did well” and asks you about your day, it’s about emptiness said to the night sky.
• i’ll try - is about understand and accepting someone just for the way they are.
• i need somebody - is about the angry feeling of loneliness whilst amongst a group of people. a feeling that lets out a silent yell to the groups of people surrounding you screaming “i need somebody right now”.
• live your life - is about accepting that’s it’s okay to feel small and hopeless and lost, the world that exists only beings to you so you don’t have to be scared, “just live your life!”
• marathon - is about understanding that it’s okay to walk instead of running toward everything, it’s okay to take breaks, you shouldn’t overwork yourself, even if you go slowly, it’s really, truly okay.
*note: a lot of day6’s song don’t use pronouns so they can be applied to any non-romantic relationship but i didn’t include them to make this list too long.
